Trump Shatters Glass Ceiling Of Indictments For Presidents

“If the president does it, it’s not illegal.” trumpet sort of tip toes up to that but not completely.

That’s what makes this so wonderful.

Schiff stays classy…good for him. I, on the other hand, am celebrating this action and am not afraid to admit it. Watching TFG melt down, begging for his supporters to do something, anything is sweetness itself.

That is exactly what’s going on here. And poor Lindsey, for one, is forced to say, “Yes, master.”

But he’s not the only one.

That’s the one that irritates me most, and it invariably devolves into claims that “this is what happens in third world countries.” I dunno how to make this any simper for people:

NO. THIS IS WHAT DOESN’T HAPPEN IN THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES AND THAT’S WHY THEY BECAME ONE. THINK THAT THROUGH.

True(ish). He could still make some fun with it, like “I’m sorry, I have a country to run and no time to review and comment on such a long long long long long long long list of criminal charges…”

And I say that’s great. Just don’t let that make us complacent. It isn’t over until he gets defeated in a run vs a Dem candidate, he fails to get nominated, he dies, he goes to prison.
His prosecution might make him a martyr. Hope not, but it’s not beyond possibility.

The notion that Trump’s true believers will wslk into the fire with him is true, up to a point. Millennialists, end of timers and others who have clear and fixed dates of apotheosis become disillusioned. They wake up, but not publicly, they just quietly walk away. Some join new cults, others just withdraw. Trump’s apotheosis will not happen, they never do.

Absolutely love that the one girl practicing her drill team routine with the Thin Blue Line/Blue Lives Matter flag has no idea of the irony – flying that flag in support of an indicted person, and against law enforcement. It boggles the mind.

That flag doesn’t have anything to do with supporting the police. It’s just another symbol for white supremacy. So in that sense, it’s perfectly appropriate.

I’ve said it before and here we are again… donald trump is a cancer in our country. People, especially the right wing, need to understand this. He is not a republican. He just uses that party for his own ends. He isn’t a conservative cuz he has zero idea what that really means. He is an autocrat seeking power anyway he can get it. He wants to be a dictator. He wants to be worshiped like a God.

Vegas have odds yet on when the first attempt to off Bragg will be?

You should see the fucking Faux News KKKomment boards…

Those who can: read Josh’s most recent post. A good one. One takeaway:

“I made the point that Donald Trump has managed to cast a spell over so many of us that we can’t help living in his drama.”

The narcissist craves attention in the drama he (usually he) controls, often from people – like us – who have no reasonable option but to grant them attention. In everyday life, the “us” include people like a spouse, children, parents, friends who continue to care about the person.

In civic life, a former president, who is running again to become president with a sizable portion of the electorate behind him, leaves the larger “us” who care about our republic with no choice. But HOW do we pay attention? This is tricky (as it is for families dealing with a narcissist whom they still love). The key is to set boundaries on the narcissist.

I don’t know how this would work with a Trump. But let’s begin by talking about other things, too. Like the Bidens’ visit today to Mississippi. Thanks, Acyn (Acyn), for your post.

Trump faces a bizarre few days of limbo before his initial court appearance

“What’d they get you for?”

“I cussed when I was a kid and didn’t say the Hail Mary’s.”

“That’s tough kid. So unfair. Sad.”

“And there was that shitting in the Rotunda thing.”

Jeebus, just wtf is wrong with them?

Seriously, that’s just the stupidest, most ridiculous dreck I’ve ever read. I swear it made my stomach lurch to think Americans would write something so freaking un-American. Franklin and Sam Adams are spinning in their graves.
