It’s time to leave the precautionary measures against COVID-19 to the experts, President Donald Trump conceded on Monday.
Untill tomorrow?
…Until the next Twitter shit-storm…5,4,3,2,1
Really…until this afternoon’s presser or until your next trip to your gold commode?
Addendum:
Dear Covidiot Trump
Your internal polling must really be BIGLY BAD recently for you to “rely on experts” seeing that you considered yourself a Stable Genius, never mind that you got your TV medical degree from Trump University School of Trickery, Thievery and Quackery!
So an op-ed in the Post yesterday offered an interesting take on Trump’s reaction in general: By monotonically reading his daily “support” and injecting his own opinion (“wow, that’s a lot of masks,” or “who knew ships could do this?”) he maintains his “distance” from government. Not to mention that he “learns” this just as “we” do. He’s not a part of it. His inane comments continue to resonate with his inane base.
Trump also engaged in an insightful commentary on foreign relations:
To be fair, I’ve never even wanted to be on the same planet as Jared, so if there’s an expert in social distancing, he’d be the man for the job.
Tune in tomorrow/this afternoon at the same batshit crazy time on the same batshit crazy channel.
Rely on experts
Experts like Larry Kudlow and Jared Kushner.
He’ll trust experts like A-Rod and the cast of Fox & Friends
Me to Ainsley: “With a 36” Louisville Slugger.”
He missed his chance: “On your knees, Ainsley.” Sorry to be crude.
Well, it’s a “take.”
From now on? This implies that, before now, he has not relied on experts.
The day is young and Trump has nothing to do but watch FOX propaganda.
He will dance his way around this, too.
If he really was going be guided by the experts he would stop showing up at the press updates/pep rallies.
And when he wants to assert that distance, he uses third-person pronouns, as in response to questions about ventilators: “Well, they’ve had some problems, but many people are telling me they’re clearing them up quickly.” It’s all completely consistent with him taking “no responsibility whatsoever.”

… although, now I come to think of it, the look in his eyes could be described as “distant”, so maybe that’s a start.
One of the big conservative talking points is “More people will die from other things caused by the economy tanking than will die from corona virus.” So I looked up what happened in the Great Depression. It turns out death rates went DOWN from 1930-1933

Same thing happened in the Great Recession. Death rate went DOWN from 2007-2014, then began rising
Too bad it’s not working with Melania and “Melania’s son.”
At least she didn’t say: “How can we pray to you”?
