I guess now individual infants have to hire lawyers and sue to assure their birthright citizenship remains legally recognized.

Heh. I guess telegraphing the whole thing was also kind of a big dumb thing to do. But to literally permit the Iranians to get some kind of ‘free’ bombing attack under their belts on one of our military bases…that’s just nuts if not criminally negligent to blatantly allow an attack on one of our own.

I suspect we just might hear more down the road about how this ‘free’, one-time-only bomb attack, to get their retaliation fervor out of their system probably involved the death of some American too. I won’t be shocked if the media finds out that to be what happened down the road either.

That’s what happens when corruption leads to a massive defeat of the Roman army in the East while in the West the Rhine freezes over and armed bands simply pour into Gaul over it and there are none left to defend the imperium stultissimum . . . .

Supreme Court allows Trump to partially enforce birthright citizenship order

The Supreme Court on Friday in a 6-3 ruling along ideological lines allowed President Trump’s executive order restricting birthright citizenship to go into effect in some areas of the country, for now, by curtailing judges’ ability to block the president’s policies nationwide.

Ruling that three federal district judges went too far in issuing nationwide injunctions against Trump’s order, the high court’s decision claws back a key tool that plaintiffs have used to hamper the president’s agenda in dozens of lawsuits.

But it does not yet definitively resolve whether Trump’s restrictions on birthright citizenship are constitutional, a hefty legal question that could ultimately return to the justices.

For now, however, the justices narrowed the lower court rulings to only block Trump’s order as applied to the 22 Democratic-led states, expectant mothers and immigration organizations that are suing.

Impeachable offense ? There have been dozens of those already, it’s a nonstarter. Johnson will not allow it to come to the floor for a vote, it would fail anyway. Same in the Senate, impeachment is not going to happen regardless of the offense. That’s why the system is doomed, I doubt that there will be midterm elections. The Christian Right has been working the long game for decades and this is their payoff. tRump will be in office till his dying day then a handpicked successor will be given the thrown. Right thinking Americans need to realize the reality of this

Well plus the Germans tried to keep it a secret and there was some shame about it afterwards. Here they are broadcasting it for all to see and a substantial number are cheering it on.

You ain’t seen nothing yet.

If now no judges at any level below the Supremes can do a nationwide injunction, this opens the floodgates for the administration to make the last months look like pleasant times.

It’s a good question. The trick is to have a Congress in which the Dems have backbone. (I know, I know.) Dear Leader is doing all this with the approval of a very thin but dedicated Congressional majority. Which shows that they ALL wanted to destroy government.

If the Dems regain power at both ends of Washington, they’ll still bicker about restoring this department or those employees, and the MSM will eat up the “Dems in disarray” headlines, and we’ll be fucked anyway.

In 1960, the mumps damn near killed my mother when it went into meningitis.

In 1968 it damn near killed me. August. No AC. 104 fever.

You’re just being a nihilist and pessimist. We needs rays of sunshine here. Certainly there’s a silver lining to every cloud. I’m betting the current Congress will correct this.

A year ago today I shut down my laptop workstation for the last time, gathered up all my teleworking equipment and took it into the office, dropped off all the work gear and walked out the door for the last time.

46 years at the Social Security Administration was enough. I knew that Trump was gonna get in and put the fascist Project 2025 into action.

And yeah after seeing how Sleazy E and his Peter Pan Posse took a meat ax to the agency I made the right decision!
