Trump Sarcastically Cheers Romney Testing Negative For Coronavirus: ‘So Happy I Can Barely Speak’ | Talking Points Memo

Yes sir, and when you and yours are jailed for your crimes, Mr. Romney will inherit what is left of your sad little Republican Party. Wouldn’t vote for him, but our country needs to functioning parties and he will be remembered as someone who FINALLY stood up to your criminal presidency.

Asshole-in-chief speaks

Poor boy has been isolated by the secret service and after 1-2 days the poor boy is cranky. Give him his binky and send him to his room.

Was not trying to take a shot at Gov. Beshear. I should have been clearer.

I think promoting empathy and forgiveness, as well as promoting competence and sound science, is exactly what we need right now and people like your Gov. and Gov. Cuomo are leading the way in absence of Federal action.

It’s the hypocrisy of the GOP and evangelicals I’m getting at. Forgiveness and charity are supposed to be the most fundamental of their beliefs. And yet they attack Democrats who exhibit these characteristics while worshipping that thing in the Whit House who clearly does not.

Greed Over People Party are saying it is OK to KAG - Kill American Geriatrics…just ask Tx. Lt. Gov., Brit Hume et al. Meanwhile, Covidiot-In-Chief is malignantly facetious about his political enemies as the US Covid-19 infections (55,238) and death (802) toll rises!

Trump: “America First”

Me: “Trump First, GOP Next when they want to KAG”

Addendum:
I am NOT ok with Killing American Geriatrics for Wallstreet $$$. My comment was a snark to drive my point.

Standard Trump operating procedure. “Pay no attention to the exploding numbers of positive tests and deaths. Squirrel!”

But Easter is a very special day to him. Got it.

I’m starting to wonder if he’s beginning to lose his fixation on bigly numbers of his followers, and is instead becoming content with his “base,” alone. If his base grows, great. If not, at least he will always have his true believers who will always support him, no matter what he does, or how many lives he sacrifices for his ego. He just seems to me to be forfeiting any attempt to act in a “popular” manner by doing the right thing for the country. Instead, he’s just doing whatever the fuck he wants, consequences be damned, because he knows his base still loves him. This gives him the freedom to be as reckless and as evil as he can imagine because being popular with the people no longer matters. Fuck the people. Praise me. This is what’s worked for 3 very long years.

Perhaps I’m being selfish, but I’m not willing to do that.

And I doubt that Hume, Hannity, Murdoch, TX Lt. Gov., McConnell, Trump, or any of the rest of them are either.

His mommy clearly didn’t tell him, “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all”. And he probably didn’t listen to his mommy anyway, just like he doesn’t listen to anyone else.

Not listening to mommy and daddy is why young donnie was sent to military school. His folks hoped they could fix him by making him follow rules and stuff.

Agreed, particularly since it’s not like by submitting to a Trump Death Panel, that your grandchildren, or anyone elses, are magically immunized from it.

The stupid it burns, in these prevaricators.

When I hear trump has the virus my inner schadenfreude will kick in.

There are a few polls out this morning that show some cracks or divergence in the views of the American people vs Trump’s approach. One poll has people very concerned, including over 50% about key aspects of his response (testing, supporting states, lock downs). Morning Consult shows that 70% want a national lock down.

The NYT and others are begging Trump to align with scientists and do a lock down. It’s unlikely to happen. I find it somewhat amusing that the NYT has a big editorial demanding that Trump now act like a real POTUS when they spent 5 years promoting the Trump Show. He can’t be something that he isn’t. NYT just realized that their readership is about to die with Trump playing the fiddle so now they’re concerned.

Every media outlet should simply demand that Trump resign immediately. He’s incapable and malevolent.
