How long will it take for Paul, Weiss and Skadden Arps (along with any other spineless law firms who cave to Trump’s demands) to set up secondment programs whereby they send their lawyers to fill the vacancies Trump is creating at DOJ? Under such a program, the lawyers would continue to be paid by the firms, not by DOJ. This would result in savings for DOJ, and the opportunity for the lawyers to position themselves for leadership positions in the third Trump administration. It’s a win-win-win for Trump, DOJ and the firms, and a lose-lose-lose for everyone else.

Here in Portland, we knew Wiederhorn as a chronic grifter when he lived here, one who has already done prison time for financial crimes back in 2004-2005.
But, as a Trump contributor he’s now immune to prosecution.

Earlier this month, the head of the FBI’s New York field office was forced to resign from his position after resisting the department’s order to go after officials involved in January 6 persecutions.
Easy slip-up to make when that’s what they’re claiming.
