The probe that U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut John Durham is leading into the FBI’s Russia investigation — at Attorney General Bill Barr’s behest — has taken a sharp left turn to include, for some reason, the Clinton Foundation, according to the New York Times.
Sounds like a bit of mission creep to me.

I think it’s even simpler than that. The Trump Foundation got shut down because there was nothing “charitable” about it. So, Trump, ever vengeful, wants to see the Clinton Foundation shut down. If there was an Obama Foundation, it would be at the top of his hit list.

Investigating Clinton Foundation For Some Reason

Best case scenario: Durham has found evidence that the investigation into the foundation was improperly predicated.
Worst case scenario: More “Lock Her Up!” bullshit.
Either way, it’s not too hard to see how a politically-driven “investigation” into the multiple FBI investigations of the 2016 election leads back to the Clinton Foundation.

At this stage, he’s a demented loon, but he may still have enough awareness to hear the legal hoof beats heading his way, especially if Trump loses. If he’s got any sense left, he should be focusing on his defense.
