To me, they all have the look of guys that think they’re smarter than everyone else, but have continually been proven wrong their entire lives.

He’s already doing double duty:
The U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, & Transportation approved the nomination of Neil Jacobs to become under secretary of commerce for oceans and atmosphere, a position that includes serving as NOAA administrator.
Jacobs is currently serving in both roles on an interim basis in his position as assistant secretary of commerce for environmental observation and prediction.
Just watch this guy step down and the deputy fill in as an Acting Administrator of NOAA. Maybe that’s the plan.

Wondered that myself. Maybe the desire to do maximum damage in the short time left. Or maybe it’s like when your football team is losing by over a hundred points and the coach starts sending in all the second-string players so they can get some playing time.

They don’t intend to allow the election to result in them losing. This isn’t 4th quarter in their minds. It’s pregame warmups and getting the players on the field they want to start. If Trump wins and the GOP maintains the Senate, all holy fucking hell is going to break loose and you won’t recognize this country or its government within 6 months. The last 4 years were a warmup.
