Whenever I see the “news network” OAN mentioned I think they are just engaging in Trumpian onanism.

I suspect this will go about as well as MAGAT boys attempts to sue everyone who told the absolute obvious truth about him.

Wow, the adage that any press coverage is good… filing a lawsuit to get attention.

Dear OAN,
Bring it.

Sincerely,
Comcast.

I think you’ll have to be more specific with MAGAT boys, there are a lot of them, and they keep making the headlines.

Well discovery should be fun. And $10MM is a rounding error for MSNBC…this’ll pay for itself in the future reports 10-fold!

Can’t wait for discovery.

I think it’s the right’s new schtick. Sue everyone who dares to speak ill of you and then feign victimhood when the case gets tossed. I’m not sure if they’re doing it to get attention or because they think it scares somebody somewhere. I really just don’t get this one especially considering that if somehow the plaintiffs in these cases were to prevail and such a precedent was set, half the country would have a solid case against Cheetolini.

It’s not defamation or libel if it’s the truth and the truth always outs.

Frivolous lawsuits for the chilling effect on people a hundred and fifty times more prominent than you because you can’t stand to be mocked or hear the truth spoken about you. Nice. Certainly the sign of an ascendant “movement.”

Well, Well, Well.

DISCOVERY will be a fun, fun thing in THIS lawsuit.

Look for this idiot “Red Herring” to drop the suit the moment the Comcast lawyers submit their Discovery laundry list to the court.

Private Eye had the right formula for this situation:

We acknowledge your letter of (insert).

We note that (insert)'s attitude to damages will be governed by the nature of our reply and would therefore be grateful if you would inform us what their attitude to damages would be, were they to learn that the nature of our reply is as follows: fuck off.

We’ll see your suit, and raise you a countersuit.

If they were a real news network, they would know that this isn’t defamation and that you can’t sue for libel against a public figure (like a reporter…) without being able to prove the party you’re suing said something untrue and knew it was untrue.

Basically, it’s impossible to prove a libel case when the person defamed is a ‘public figure’
