Asked our daughter why she questioned the Golden Gate picture:
First I questioned the quality of the image. It doesn’t have the color or resolution of our ubiquitous camera phones. Then an image search.
How can you tell if an image has been edited.
Its super hard with AI now. Some AI images feel off. Same thing with photoshop. Things just aren’t consistent. Question every image. I’m skeptical of most images. Images are what I teach and make every day and it still can be hard to tell. Assume that if someone has an agenda, especially one that plays to what people want to believe, that there is a good chance it’s edited or even completely fabricated. Critical thinking and due diligence are imperative.
The bridge image doesn’t look fabricated, just not of this era. That’s one way something can feel off.

Uh oh, the National Weather Service website forecast.weather.gov has forecasts for Monday, Tuesday, etc., but Thursday’s forecast is labeled “Juneteenth”. That’s some woke shit right there. Expect more cuts.

Hah! You’re right, I just saw it on that same site I follow for local weather. Congress passed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law and Biden signed it in 2021. It’s the 12th Federal Holiday, so it gets automatically labeled that way on the weather forecasts like every other Federal Holiday.
This is is going to stick in Trump’s craw, but I doubt he can force NOAA to not list just one of 12 Federal Holidays. He can’t make it disappear by EO either. It would take an act of Congress. This will be fun.

Seeing a lot of shit these days, on any number of topics, some political, others financial (lots of stuff looking to pump or kill different stocks, for example) out in social media where the source and agenda is in question.
There are literal farms of people sitting in factories in Asia, predominantly, willing to sell pretty much any message one wants to proliferate across social media, to anyone with a credit card.
Other centers in russia and iran and china and their affiliates who do it for “free” for political purposes as an extension of their military.
