I expect China to announce in the next day or two that it will completely pick up any necessary funding for WHO. After all IIRC we are talking less than a billion a year. Then China will have more influence with WHO, in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South America and Europe – basically everywhere except US, Iceland and Greenland, and I am not even sure about the last two.
So Trump reduces the amount of influence the USA has, China steps in and the USA, under the brilliant leadership of the orange shitgibbon, continues its decline from a superpower.

They’d be stupid not to. It’s a golden opportunity for them to broaden their influence at the expense of the USA. Like what they did when Trump ditched the TPP.
If you ever hear the Don use the term " our allies" again it will be in the fanciful,fictional sense…he has done so much to alienate the world community it will take years to repair the damage.
And public health, including infectious diseases, is an area in which Gates has been deeply involved for years. So he knows what he’s talking about, unlike Don the Con.
Of course, Gates and his buddy Buffet could get together and toss in the US share of funding on their own, with no impact whatsoever on their way of life. I get that that’s no way to run a country, but in a global emergency, if this move by Trump is as dangerous as Gates says…
