Yeah, good luck getting that.

Oh, and Grassfed? The Russia collusion investigation was totally bunked.

5 points. 6 points, one point: It’s the behavior of an autocrat in the ascendant. He does it over and over and the public doe not recognize its significance and does not give a fig. This it the 4th (?) one fired.

The IG was also investigating the illegal sale of arms to Saudi Arabia in violation a specific congressional prohibition. The Pompeo stuff, while bad, is actually the distraction for the really bad stuff

Yes. Having an aide walk the dog or protecting cabinet member’s wife is chicken feed. Very small beer. He can walk away from things like that.

Arms sales to the Saudis in violation of Congressional intent is very big deal. Today’s version of the Iran-Contra mess.

The average voter is likely to be more upset about the dog-walking charges - what a dick! - than about selling arms to the Saudis - too complicated! - so it’s a good thing Pompeo is human scum in many ways.

Which mess was deeply involved in.

Romney:

“The firings of multiple Inspectors General is unprecedented; doing so without good cause chills the independence essential to their purpose,” he wrote. “It is a threat to accountable democracy and a fissure in the constitutional balance of power.”

Good that he’s criticizing Trump but … how do you get a “fissure” in a balance of power?

He always has an alibi, and one or two to spare:
At whatever time the deed took place—MACAVITY WASN’T THERE!
And they say that all the Cats whose wicked deeds are widely known

Are nothing more than agents for the Cat who all the time
Just controls their operations: the Napoleon of Crime!

If Trump is not reelected the GOP is done. 2020 is gut time. An existential election. Given that there’s no risk too big to take or action too outrageous. In fact NOT doing it offers a bigger threat to the GOP than doing it and getting caught. So expect a bunch more of this.
