Dr. Scott Atlas, a member of the White House COVID-19 task force who is infamous for parroting Trump-friendly but scientifically dubious talking points about the pandemic, brushed off criticism from his fellow team members on Monday night.

Who would leave a position at the pinnacle if academia and medicine in the US, unless they had to? It’s a guaranteed scoop to whoever can dig it out. You can beat out the New Yorker if you can get on it.
