Trump’s Fav COVID Adviser Brushes Off Redfield And Fauci: ‘I’m Not Here To Make Friends’

Dr. Scott Atlas, a member of the White House COVID-19 task force who is infamous for parroting Trump-friendly but scientifically dubious talking points about the pandemic, brushed off criticism from his fellow team members on Monday night.

Think about this: The U.S. is being run by Stephen Miller, Larry Kudlow, Peter Navarro and Scott Atlas.

That is all.

“I’m not here to make friends,” said Scott Atlas, “I’m here to comfort my President by telling him what he wants to hear.”

Who knew we are living in Middle Earth, with Trump as Theoden and Atlas as Wormtongue? I sure didn’t.

TPM: there’s a story here.

Why and under what circumstances did Atlas leave Stanford?

Hint: it’s not in writing anywhere accessible. Maybe in his personnel file. You’ve got to contact his colleagues under the table and get the story, assuring them that they will not be named.

Who would leave a position at the pinnacle if academia and medicine in the US, unless they had to? It’s a guaranteed scoop to whoever can dig it out. You can beat out the New Yorker if you can get on it.

He clearly listens to a lot of people. He understands, in a very common sense way, what the science shows and what should be done to save the American lives, and that’s why I’m here,” Atlas said. “I’m not here to make friends.”

v.o: “previously on ‘The Donald Trump Show’.”
