For nine hours in steamy Washington, D.C. on Sunday, President Donald Trump’s most ardent evangelical supporters gathered on the National Mall for a “historic” event to “rededicate” America to God. The Rededicate 250: National Jubilee of Prayer, Praise and Thanksgiving was part of Freedom 250, a series of tacky Christian nationalist semiquincentennial festivities orchestrated by…
Of course, true believer Trump was not there, hence the video message, So where was he, you ask, where he always worships, the golf course!
None are more hopelessly enslaved as those who falsely believe themselves to be free.

Religion is the biggest scam on the planet. All of them.
The “Bible” is just the Jewish Book of Fairy Tales.
People have been writing fiction since the day they started writing.
“Of all bad men, religious bad men are the worst.” – C.S. Lewis
And don’t forget the hundreds or even thousands of “translations" it been through. Like that rumor game in high school, how much of the bible is actually anything close to what it was originally. Your guess is as good as mine (if not better) ![]()
You mean like Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard?
Also, I hope many of the “evangelicals” were snake handlers and tossed out vipers.
Praise the Lord and pass the snakes!
Hmmmm. That man is doing some serious psychedelics. Trump barely speaks American English. I doubt seriously that his literacy extends to Latin, Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic, but I’d lay a substantial wager that the current Pope reads at least the first three. And the last time I checked, Classic Comics’ backlist didn’t extend to any books of the Bible (although there was one issue called The Life of Jesus), so it’s highly unlikely that the once-and-returned-president has read any of his Trump Bible.
Beyond that, it seems to me that the founders did have the opportunity to embrace the title “Christian Nationalist”, and not only declined to embrace it, several explicitly stated that the United States of America is not a Christian nation.
As I said, dude is using some serious shit.
SIR! Ozempic A. Trump. oh, lookie! Gawd done did heal his ear!
Sending in a rerun to boot! Nothing but sloppy seconds for the followers of the False Profit
The best succinct description of the Christian (Right) (Evangelical) (Nationalist) camps who support Trump and other corrupt, sinful (mostly) men:
‘God sent us an imperfect man to lead us. He is imperfect, but he will deliver to us the political ends we desire, and so we will follow him.’
He is an imperfect man, and will continue to practice imperfection at will to achieve greater heights of imperfection… but he is our leader, chosen by god, and we will follow our leader. His imperfections are forgiven, past, present and forever and for all time forward. By this reasoning, the number, nature and depravity of the imperfection(s) are irrelevant.
Religious conviction requires no evidence, no logic. That’s it’s beauty.
You better run, you better fly
Hide your daughters, hide your wives
Lock your doors and stay inside
Here come Trump
There’s no way that you can win
You must obey his every whim
Or else he’s gonna do you in
Here come Trump
He will smile at you, be a friend to you
Then he’s gonna screw you just like that

You mean it wasn’t written in English? By King James?
Heather Cox Richardson, on topic:
Probably hasn’t read the Classic Comics version, either.
Print is to small.
