All in service of making the USA #1 again!

There’s no one to do the work of coordinating this. The seats are empty throughout his administration. All the competent people have left. So here we are waiting for benevolence from billionaires and corporations.

Trump’s only defense production involves defending himself from the epic clusterfuck he’s solely created.

He’s failed that, too…

That may be so in regards to seats being empty, but that doesn’t excuse the fact that Trump is a chickenshit President afraid of being blamed. In any other “business” setting a CEO can only throw so many underlings under the bus before there are no more underlings to toss. But of course did things ass backwards when he eliminated the underlings to throw under the bus. Mother Fucking Idiot.
ETA: for @tmulcaire Goddamn Mother Fucking Idiot

It’s going to be interesting to watch the conservative spin that makes this into a victory for Trump…every time they try to defend him it’s blown up in their faces, and that is going to continue because of the shoddy way they have tried to respond to this. We’re nowhere close to having this level off, and as it starts to hit the red states it’s really going to get bad, just because they will do like the pastor up there and ignore it until it’s well spread through the population. I’ll be surprised if we have less than 100,000 deaths if we continue along this path.

And, it was all avoidable…if Trump had just stepped aside and let people like Fauci run things, we wouldn’t be shutting the nation down, we wouldn’t now lead in the number of cases, and we wouldn’t need to take over our industries in order to save lives. The Trump response has been the disaster, and it’s going to be a bigly one like everything else he does.

As usual, Trump is all talk, bluster, and posturing, with no actual action being taken by his administration.

Poll numbers and reelection prospects are all that matter – far more than the lives of his countrymen. Trump proves yet again that he is a “president” with a lower-case “p”.

Trump was always for it, even when he was against. He never said he was against it, because he predicted it would be a problem before it was a problem even though it’s not a problem and everyone should go to work even if they’re sick, because China, because deep state, because it’s just the flu and we’re not shipping clerks and governors didn’t plan ahead by buying early from departments we cut funding to because all those guys will come back if there’s ever a crisis, though there is no crisis and our response has been perfect like that phone call to the Ukraine and you’d be getting all the stuff you want if you hadn’t said mean things to me, but there’s no quid pro quo.

Meanwhile, Lindsey Graham is _u_g_l_y_ all the way to his shallow rotten core. But $17bn for Boeing. Priorities!

Four Republican senators — Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, Tim Scott of South Carolina and Rick Scott of Florida — announced they had found a flaw in the economic stimulus legislation so grave that they would be forced to delay its passage.

The proposed unemployment benefits, they said, were much too generous.

Yes, that’s right: They worried the federal government was in danger of doing too much to help low-income workers whose jobs are being sacrificed to save lives…

And the bill is packed to the gills with unwarranted gifts for undeserving recipients, including $17 billion to bail out Boeing, a company that lately has charted new frontiers in corporate mismanagement. (It is worth noting that the senators moralizing about welfare benefits made no objection to bailing out companies that had failed to manage their business prudently.) The Times also reported Wednesday that a provision in the bill could allow President Trump’s hotels to qualify for bailout funds otherwise intended for small businesses.

“If something goes wrong then it’s on the President,” an unnamed senior administration official [told Vox]. “And that’s something he doesn’t want to happen.”

“I alone can make sure it’s not fixed.”
