Trump’s Coronavirus Treatment: Here’s What We Know | Talking Points Memo

As the medical experts have said: Based on the course of treatment, tRump is either MUCH sicker than Conley and his pack of lousy liars are letting on, or they are experimenting in real time by pumping everything but the kitchen sink into tRump’s veins (i.e., they are deviating from the standard protocol, they have no idea what they are doing, and they are hoping that something will halt the progression of tRump’s COVID). Either way, it’s a dangerous game and it’s apt to get worse before it gets better.

uhmmm, this strategy is probably not well thought out. Blaming the folks who will take a bullet for you… I don’t think they’ll take this one Meadows is serving up. Do they have a Speak & Spell coming up with their strategy now ?

Coincidence that KelleyAnne left the WH, then returned just in time for the party…

White House staff just got an email telling them not to come to work if they have symptoms. If they develop them, they’re told to go home and contact their primary care provider. “Staff should not go to the White House Medical Unit clinic for any Covid-19 testing inquiries.”

I think him going back to the WH and taking charge of his own treatment is the best thing he can do. For America.

That’s pretty cold. Are they all out of tests at the WH?

Shorter WHCA: But what about our meaningless privilege of standing by with no actual access to anyone or anything?

I head an interesting take on CNN just now, that they probably gave him the “antibody cocktail” immediately after he tested positive, in the hope that it would prevent him developing symptoms at all. Didn’t work, and when he went downhill on Friday the treatment shifted to mitigation and they whisked him to Walter Reed.

Which brings up the question of timelines and when Trump and WH medical staff knew he was infected. I don’t think we’re going to hear a definitive answer from the WH or the Walter Reed flunkies… er, I mean his doctors, because it would mean Trump knew he was infected when he attended the fundraiser. But someone else will eventually dig out the truth.

Yes, yes. Ivanka can take his blood pressure, and Jared can empty his sputum cup.
And Meadows can resume the actual ass-kissing.
Melania is quarantined, reviewing the new post-nup on steroids.

There should be medical reporters allowed at the medical briefings.

*Does he have pneumonia? CXR/CT results?
*Does he have evidence of increasing inflammation in his body? Blood test results?
*When was his last negative test?
*Why was dexamethasone added to his medications?

More questions.

*Is he on blood thinners?
*Why is he no longer receiving his statin mediation? Or his finasteride? Was there a concern about his liver/kidney?
*Is there a taper schedule for his dexamethasone?
*Will the WH staff have full PPE available if he is discharged home?

I just sneezed, so I’m definitely not going in to the office for the next 107 days.

I think it’s going to predate the debate. Once we found out the Trump camp didn’t get tested, that’s pretty much confirmation that he had or suspected he had it and went ahead because he is an absolute horrid person.

Mark Meadows did NOT lose his soul. Reason: He never had one to begin with. You CANNOT lose what you never had!

If I was on the staff, I would claim to have symptoms and stay the fuck home for as long as possible.

They probably found her in the comm room at tRump HQ, scanning the on-line polls from Breitbart and Daily Stormer.
“Yeah, Yeah, she looks like a couch-shot from Fox! Let’s use her for this phishing expedition!!”

I’m pretty sure Melania wasn’t there as she said she didn’t want to put her secret service detail in jeopardy (and get a dig into Donnie at the same time).

Mental Health eval.

If @realDonaldTrump were my patient, in unstable condition + contagious illness, & he suddenly left the hospital to go for a car ride that endangers himself & others:

I'd call security to restrain him then perform a psychiatric evaluation to examine his decision-making capacity.

I would welcome it only to watch him collapse and pass out on stage in front of his biggest fans on live TV.
