If this gentleman is the son of American citizens (wh0 were citizens at the time of his birth) he is a citizen of the US as well. It does not matter where the person was born, they are still a US citizen.
ICE has a long, sordid history of deporting US citizens who look brown and don’t have their papers on them.
Here in Tucson it is not uncommon to see Border Patrol vehicles while out and about. When I do see them I watch the reactions in other cars. Diverted eyes, turned heads…swift corners turned… There are also unmarked cars but they are rather easy to pick out and I see similar reactions from other drivers. Our population is about 45% Hispanic.
