Lawsuit after lawsuit in President Donald Trump and the GOP’s attempted delegitimization of the election via the courts has been a bust, and it appears their voter fraud case in Arizona, a key state that helped lead to Trump’s defeat against President-elect Joe Biden, isn’t looking too compelling either.
180 overvotes is surprisingly small, depending on what sort of vote tabulation machine they are using (its very small, regardless of that, actually).
During the 2018 recount here in FL, in my county, with about half that many votes, we had 10x as many overvotes in the Governor’s race.
Voters do odd things. I remember we had during the Rick Scott/Bill Nelson recount, several voters who filled out both bubbles, scratched them out, and then wrote in “Rick Nelson”.
And we had one this time who filled out every single bubble on the entire bubble, then wrote a note, and signed it saying she doesn’t trust mail in voting, so she’ll be voting in person. Of course, since her VBM ballot had already been received, she could not vote in person. The entire ballot was an overvote on everything instead.
What they are trying to do is to file enough lawsuits until one reaches a Trumpturd Judge that will issue the election void, and that will start moving appeals up until it reaches that den of Trumpitude that is the Supreme Court.
They can keep on files these frivolous lawsuits, but the question is will these lawyers get paid for their work? I can see it now - donny says his lawyers did not get him what he wanted so they won’t get paid.
I can’t believe that these lawyers actually thought there was merit in these lawsuits.
And of course, another odd thing voters do…every election…is mail in the ballots from past elections. I haven’t checked, but I guarantee our SOE has received ballots from the 2018 election, and 90% sure they have even received ballots from the 2016 election.
And strangely, those are usually filled it nearly perfectly.
There’s informed speculation being noised abroad that the end game here is to leave office with immunity from prosecution for himself and his family and continued control of the GOP as it’s leader. Afterwards, it’s Trump TV Network.
It rings true.
ETA, the tweet makes him look completely delusional, of course.
