President-elect Donald Trump has been filling out his administration in the week since his landslide election. On Tuesday, he announced that former Arkansas Gov. It’s not schadenfreude, because I take no pleasure in this.

It’s just abject stupidity of voters that is opening up a whole world of hurt for everyone.

Where, pray tell, was the British Mandate for Palestine located geographically?

No, silly.

The British mandate for Palestine covered what is now the nation state of Israel and areas to the east in what was called the Transjordan.

In a story about the presumptive US ambassador to Israel perhaps we should really examine his retrograde views about Israel before fixating on his bigotry towards Arabs*. Huckabee is in modern parlance a Christian nationalist (evangelical seems so quaint) for whom the Jews are a means toward their religious end, in which all the Jews who don’t accept Jesus Christ as their savior are going to hell. Building Israel to some mythical glory is a requirement to bring about the end times. What is good for Israel as a people, a state and a culture, is not what he cares about.

I knew that, but I would guess a large number of GOP votes do not. They would probably want to know Britain would want to date a man…

Trump’s Ambassador To Israel Believes Palestine Is A ‘Mythical Land’

Huckabee is displaying a hideously overbearing case arrogance fueled by his overweening hubris when he appears to be misapplying the second dictionary definition of myth, when the first is what actually applies in this case.

“ myth

noun

  1. A traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural phenomenon or event…

  2. A widely held but false belief or idea.

“he wants to dispel the myth that sea kayaking is too risky or too strenuous”

Behind him, a sign spelled out a vision for the Palestinian territories that echoed both Huckabee’s apparent one-state perspective and Trump’s infamous campaign slogan: “Build Israel Great Again.”
Reposting a portrait of the new US ambassador to Israel:

Yes, I will take bets that he won’t be complicit in the dispossession of Palestine’s Arab residents.
