Trump Reelection Aide Taped Admitting GOP Has Historically Relied On Voter Suppression | Talking Points Memo

Justin Clark, one of President Donald Trump’s top reelection aides, was caught on tape telling powerful Republicans in Wisconsin that though the Republican party has “traditionally” used voter suppression tactics to win in swing states, this year, the party will go on the offensive due to relaxed Election Day rules.

I’m not surprised at all, except that the recording got out.

The National Rethuglican Party is the party of non-white voter suppression. Nothing new here.

1 / Feature, not bug, of the NeoGOP.
2 / Watch how the guy lies when caught.
3 / The DNC needs to fight these crooks more vigorously. Billionaire money perhaps?

Haven’t they been caught saying something like this before? Doesn’t everybody know it by now? They hardly make a secret out of it.

I’m fully down with jailing people who try to declare residency at their vacation property, to vote against the school tax where their kids don’t go to school, and the county tax to plow roads where they don’t even drive in the winter.

Sounds like the governor of Texas:

“I go into the office, I sue the federal government and I go home,” Greg Abbott was quoted as saying to a tea party group in an April 30, 2013, Associated Press news story.

Speaking to FreedomWorks Texas in Austin on April 27, Abbott said, “I’ve sued the Obama administration now 25 times, over the last four years.”

Maybe they need to take this guy to court now instead of waiting until after the election for this kind of election shenanigans. Force them into discovery since he’s admitting they know where they live and has a much better funded operation to suppress the vote. Let’s see where that money is coming from. Who are the donors? As the article says, this is one of tRump’s top re-election campaign officials in WI, and it comes around the same time WI is purging 250,000 voters from the rolls.

it’s like thinking that republicans could win on there conservative values and following the constitution and the bill of rights.
it would be a really ignorant thought

Quite true…and will be 100X more in people’s minds.

Democrats and like-minded voters are the Majority. The only way the GOP wins is to cheat…

It will not stop until whatever % who have it socialized into them that America was founded for white people are gone. Ways to get to that point are disputed and often immoral, so on it goes.

They just do it out in the open now. No need to stay behind closed doors and whisper anymore, as trump has showed them how it’s done.

So what is the value of being able to vote? Those being disenfrancished, can they sue for damages? If so, how much? If I have to run around and do six hours of clusterfuck on election day to prove I’m a legitimate voter, can I file a class action suit for the value fo my and other voters’ time?
