President Trump is rebooting his reality tv-style coronavirus briefings, months after backing away from them and as COVID-19 cases spike across the country.

There’s your problem. Right there…

Donnie’s briefs are always loaded…

Nurse, please make a note in the chart that we’re now seeing deficits in long-term memory.

Yeah, keep talking, Donnie. That’s what torpedoed your ratings a few months ago, remember? After that big 3 point bounce for your covid-19 handling that you yakked away, ceaselessly blathering nonsense and lies while preventing the medical experts from talking. Turned a ratings bonanza into a “Do Not Renew” for the Trump show. Keep it up!

“There’s never been anything like it,” Trump said. “And we were doing very well and I thought it would be sort of automatic and a lot of positive things were happening.”

Campaign event to reelect by another name.

I wouldn’t mind watching the briefings under the following conditions:

  1. Trump says and does absolutely nothing.
  2. Fauci and Birx are allowed to speak.
  3. Everyone at the briefings tells the truth.
  4. Everyone at the briefings trashes Trump for his willful ignorance and abject stupidity.

Trump owes us all an apology that will never come.

Allow me to be one of about 187 commentors to surmise these are going to be campaign-style attacks on Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Jyna, and maybe Obama. There will be no more than 15 seconds devoted to the COVID situation. He’ll just rip cities run by Democrats and re-threaten school districts going online.

Gunna be an epic shit-show.

If this were a non-reality TV show, it would be funny. But it is a tragic reality.

Silver lining: he will go off the rails, off the trestle, and into the gorge.

Subjects were last seen seated a mere two feet apart and unmasked, signalling to the nation that infection can indeed be as certain as death and takes.

He’s going to turn them into campaign rallies. He needs an audience.

BTW, did anyone else see this bit of digital genius pop up?

The last ones were orgies of lies and propaganda. Let’s hope the networks limit how much air time the new ones get.

Speaking to reporters during a pool spray at the White House Monday, Trump spoke of the briefings like a seasoned television producer. Trump claimed the briefings, which were held nearly every day for weeks at the beginning of the pandemic, were “very successful” and garnered record ratings.

Seasoned with what, locoweed?

Seriously, people have tuned him out already. What is he going to say that’s coherent? Absolutely nothing. The only reason to watch him is to mock him. Apparently, he’s the only one that doesn’t get that.

If we thought the first round was bad, wait for this one. The lies will be bigger and more frequent, the insanity will be more sociopathic, and the racism will be front and center given his laser focus on “law and order”.
