Trump Rattles ‘Due Process’ Saber At Judge In Jan. 6 Case

Attorneys for former President Trump asked a federal judge on Monday to allow him to share a large part of materials from the election reversal case against him in a filing which leaned heavily on talking points familiar from right-wing media and Truth Social.

TFG wants to be able to leak protected information to unpaid attorneys, so they can then go spew it on FoxNotNews – and the Special Counsel is constrained from responding.

No, NO, and HELL NO.

Let his idiot Maga clowns know who witnesses are? Let “volunteers” rummage around thru trial documents that you or I wouldn’t get to see? Have a little party at the Mar a lago bar and go over the docs and compare them to the ones the traitor is still hiding and holding?

No.

Specifically, Trump wants to share Grand Jury information with Giuliani, Powell and Eastman who are all “volunteer attorneys”. The Judge should agree to the Special Counsel’s proposed protective order which is materially the same as the one Trump’s team agreed to in the Mar-a-Lardo case and tell Lauro and Co. to shove it where the Sun don’t shine.

Further, the Judge should require Trump to post a $5M bond to remain out with the understanding that if he threatens anyone again, he loses the bond. Money will get his attention.

I remember when I was in grade school and was reading about a mob trial in the newspaper, someone had threatened someone by saying he was going to “hang you on a meat hook” when asked about this in court he stated that it was just a “figure of speech”.

I’m getting the same kind of vibe here.

Nice write-up, but, um, what did the judge say in response to the filing? Specifically, when will she rule on the motion?

Lawyers asserted in the case that U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan for the District of Columbia was putting Trump’s “due process rights” at risk by giving him tight deadlines to reply to government motions. They also described the case as made up of “false allegations” that were levied against the Biden administration’s “primary political opponent,” and elsewhere cited “the frequency of apparent leaks from the Special Counsel’s office.” At one point, Trump attorneys included a video in which Joe Biden drinks a cup of coffee from a “Dark Brandon” branded mug, saying it shows how Biden has “capitaliz[ed]” on the indictment.

Completely delusional. In fact, its quite pathetic.

Furthermore, Joe Biden is stepping on the brand of “Florida Man:”

" At one point, Trump attorneys included a video in which Joe Biden drinks a cup of coffee from a “Dark Brandon” branded mug, saying it shows how Biden has “capitaliz[ed]” on the indictment."

Nobody can do that but me!
Mom said so!

TFG and his minions have had over 2.5 years to prepare their case with the help of the J6 committee and now, from the very clear substantiation of J6 facts from the Smith Indictment. TFG has had over 2.5 years to publicly spew his BS knowing, like any criminal should know, it’s all going to catch up to him in the end. And if he didn’t know this, he probably should have listened more closely to what his highly paid ex-attorneys have been trying tell him for over 2.5 years!!

Surely the lawyers know better, but their client is the boss…

Anyone else would be in prison right now awaiting trial. But this fat fuck is absolutely determined to dare Chutcan into muzzling his fat mouth so he can claim to be the victim here. She clearly cannot put him in prison without making him a martyr, likewise house arrest won’t work, nor will taking away his social media. I wonder if maybe Smith can just pile the charges on, another few years for witness tampering, for intimidation…I mean if there are no teeth in our laws, what the fuck are we doing here?

The judge has not yet responded, since this was filed with the court about an hour ago.

You got that right.

At one point, Trump attorneys included a video in which Joe Biden drinks a cup of coffee from a “Dark Brandon” branded mug, saying it shows how Biden has “capitaliz[ed]” on the indictment.

Uh…what? tRump should represent himself. He’s basically paying his lawyers to mouth what he says and not offer any real legal arguments.

Btw,

Get yours today!

Apparently, tRump is the only one allowed to raise money by running for office. At least Biden doesn’t need a legal defense fund disguised as a campaign fund…or stupid red hats.

I hate red hats.

Back when I worked for prosecutors, I pretty much worked every weekend after the indictment up to the trial. One attorney brought in his children, and when I had some down time, I would help them draw, or put together a paperclip chain.

It’s a shame that Lauro has a shitty client, but weekends are for WORK, not yukking it up on the Sunday shows.

Trump’s next teevee life will be to fill-in for the “mayhem guy” from Allstate Insurance commercials.

Clearly I have no idea if this is even feasible but it certainly would get the fat asshole’s attention. At this point I don’t give a fuck if it’s legal or possible, but something needs to be done to shut this fat fuck up. If the last 8 years have taught us anything it’s that the law is a clusterfuck run by imbeciles with their pants around their ankles.
