President Donald Trump spent Sunday morning ranting about former FBI director James Comey, the trade war with China, and even his reality TV show “The Apprentice” in wake of the deadly shootings in Texas and a looming category 5 hurricane headed toward the U.S.
If someone would hack Trump’s Twitter account, ala Jack Dorsey, it could only be improved. But it’s also a very good idea for a President not to rely on tweets to break news.
Not going to read this. The United States of America is in the grip of a sick, twisted, cruel madman. Who will step up and end this? No one who can, apparently.
He has “acting” staff scattered all through his Cabinet, but it’s he, of course, who most embodies an “acting” offficial. He’s our first elected (dubiously so) “acting President”. Literally nobody takes him seriously anymore, not even himself.
Today’s tariffs alone will cost the average family nearly $500/yr. On top of existing tariffs. How much did the tax law purportedly give Joe Six Pack and family? Not enough to pay for the self inflicted trade nonsense.
Let’s ask him about that.
I am in the process of withdrawal from Trump - the first step is to recognize my problem, so I am here to admit that I have a rage addiction to Trump’s stupidity. The second step is to stop commenting on TRump’s tweets. The third step will be to quit reading all stories that are only about what he tweeted and not about actual policy.
I have been able to self-enforce Trump abstinence for up to one month at a time. In a world of moral gray zones, it is almost a guilty pleasure to be able to clearly, unashamedly be AGAINST this man.
Comey( R) was and is a political partisan hack, and one of Obama’s top 5 worst nominations/appointees. But even after Comey did all he could to hurt Hillary Clinton…
“[Obama] held me back after one of the very last meetings I had with him, after the election, and said he didn’t wanna talk to me about any particular case, 'cause he was very scrupulous about that. And he said, ‘But I wanna just tell you something generally. I appointed you to be FBI director because of your integrity and your ability,’” Comey said in an exclusive interview with ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos.
“Then he looked me in the eye and he said, ‘Nothing has happened, nothing, in the last year that has changed my view of that,’” Comey added.
