Trump Rambles In KY In Support Of ‘Pain In The A**’ Gov. Bevin

In a characteristic speech full of digression and focus on his own problems, President Donald Trump stumped in Kentucky Monday ostensibly to pump up Republican turnout for Gov. Matt Bevin’s (R) reelection race Tuesday.

Try to imagine listening to this for 1 hour and 20 minutes, one minute is too much. Are these people all brain dead?

Did Bevin expect tRump to deliver anything else? Word to Republican operatives: an invitation to have tRump speak on behalf of your candidate is an invitation for him to blather >90% of the time about himself.

I can barely even force myself to read his words because I hear that loathsome voice in my head as I go. Actually listening to even seconds of it is impossible for me.

And that smirk of his. If ever there was a face in need of a smack, there it is.

Them Trumpers shore do fancy themselves a pity party.

Brain dead ? Yes!
Trump is trying to take their Obama Care away and their mining jobs are not happening.
But they will vote Repub to show how unhappy they are.

Soon, I’ll be getting a shirt that says “Read the Articles of Impeachment”

And, hopefully, in 2020 I’ll get one that says “Read the Indictments”

They are. But even for these mouth-breathing brain-deads, people famously start filtering out of these events long before Trump starts running down. They come to see him, I think, and drink in the atmosphere for a while, but they really don’t care about politics at all and after a half-hour or 45 minutes of his braying it becomes too much of a good thing even for them.

The big challenge for swing state Repubs is deciding whether to bet on or against Trump given the likelihood that impeachment will do him and his allies political damage among swing voters, and if it’s against, when and how to do it so as to minimize the political damage among base voters. Do they kind of keep their distance and hope that either way they’ll come out ok, or do they throw him under the bus so there’s no chance of being identified as a supporter?

Also, Rand Paul is giving Ted Cruz and of course McTurdle a serious challenge as the biggest asshole and hypocrite in the senate. He’s far worse than his dad, who while a racist kook was at least a genuine civil liberties defender. Rand is just whatever he needs to be at the moment. What could be more sacred to a civil libertarian than to protect the anonymity of a whistleblower, who invokes their civil liberty to protect civil liberty? How did that guy not kill him?

Many in the audience reportedly wore shirts emblazoned with “read the transcript,” an odd mantra for Trump and his fans who insist that the fairly blatant quid pro quo in the White House’s call memo of Trump’s call with the Ukrainian President is a “fake news” concoction.

We have arrived
“War is peace.
Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.”

“You are a slow learner, Winston."
“How can I help it? How can I help but see what is in front of my eyes? Two and two are four.”
"Sometimes, Winston. Sometimes they are five. Sometimes they are three. Sometimes they are all of them at once. You must try harder. It is not easy to become sane.”

“Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one’s mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.”

Liberals can achieve the same effect by jamming a knitting needle in one ear and out the other…

Easiest call in the world to make, but of course I called it. Does having the president of your own party call you a “pain in the ass” benefit you electorally?

Literally low energy. Sad.

(But can you really blame them? Do you think even the most astute political operator could draw a continuous line from where a Trump rally starts to where it ends? Is there actually any politics in there at all, aside from NO COLLUSION, MAGA?)

Bevin will probably win because… Kentucky. That said, I doubt Trump’s visit helped him much. Even Trump’s biggest fans are starting to feel embarrassed by him. They’ll still support him no matter what, but they’re not very happy about it.

Edit: well I certainly am happy to be wrong about this one: :grinning:

They’re mostly racist imbecile cultists who believe that Murca is by and for white Xtian people and everyone else is either here to serve and kiss up to them or an illegal who needs to be deported. They think they’re the greatest people ever yet most are stupid beyond imagination, ignorant as fuck, racist as hell, and not very nice people. Even the outwardly “nice” ones are quite vile once you get to know them. They watch Fox and listen to the shock jocks and literally believe every lie and CT they’re told. Did I mention that they’re unbelievably stupid? They thrive on hatred and resentment and nurse massive senses of wronged entitlement and reinforce their own rancid biases all day long. Aside from Trump they’re the ones who make me want to scream at my TV when they’re on. “Oh, I just love Trump, he’s so great, doing all these wonderful things, fulfilling his promises, if only those Democrats let him do his job!” Fuck you, you worm-brain cretin, and the fat cow who shat you out her ugly white bread ass.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) also took to the stage to demand the unmasking of the whistleblower who touched off the impeachment inquiry.

Trump is but a symptom of the moral rot that is the Republican Party

What, if anything, can Dems do to turn just enough red state voters to make them competitive again? There’s got to be something, or someone, who can do this. I have no idea, but we can’t just write off 40% of the country, especially given the power of all those small red states.

There are, of course, stupid Dems, libs, progs and lefties. E.g. diehard supporters of Obama, Clinton, Bernie, etc., who will not entertain even the slightest criticism of them, and in the case of the latter two refused or would have refused to vote for the other in the general. But, by and large, a different kind of stupid, and most stupid folks on the left are basically decent, well-meaning, inclusive people, who just happen to be, well, stupid. But RW idiots are a whole other category of stupid, and for the most part also racist, small-minded, selfish and mean. So, yes, brain AND soul dead. Pod people.
