A woman wearing a shirt that said “I can’t breath,” a popular slogan among anti-police brutality protesters, was removed from President Donald Trump’s rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma and subsequently arrested on Saturday despite having a ticket to the event and behaving nonviolently.
They should have let her in. Reports are the venue is not full and they cancled the outdoor appearance because there is no overflow. Trump blames the protesters for the short fall.
Have to wonder how Faux Noise is spinning the turnout. Of course they have to be focusing only where the crowds are and avoiding those empty upper decks.
The crowd may not have been overflowing, but the excuses positively runneth over. Too bad they didn’t have a bunker for those poor, scared Trump supporters braving that horde of ravenous protesters.
That should teach them. They hyped it non stop and look what happens. Of course they blame the protesters but that excuse makes his “supporters” look like cowards. Here he was hoping for some glory and instead he got this. I love it.
I watched the entire arrest unfold live on MSNBC today.
The woman was just sitting by herself, after being admitted to the secure area. Security let her through with her “I Can’t Breath” shirt on. A Trump-badged security guy comes up to her, asks her to leave; she refuses and is then DRAGGED out of the secure area and thrown into a police cruiser. At one point, one of the Tulsa officers rips her face covering off.
She was arrested for “trespassing” although she had a ticket and was already admitted to the event.
Charges will be dropped, as the dumbass Trump campaign person who called the PD will have to testify at her trial. He’ll be long gone come midnight tonight.
Imagine sleeping outside a grade school for 3 nights to get into a 3rd grade production of Rapunzel. That would still be eminently more reasonable than what some of these folk did to get into this moribund rally.
