In the forty-eight hours since news broke that the FBI searched Mar-a-Lago, the country has gotten a look at the public-facing side of former President Donald Trump’s legal team.

Ha ha! He said “Trump legal talent.” Everyone knows there is no such thing.

I think of TFG attorneys as ablative armor. They have a finite life, and get used up and need periodic replacement. The trick for the attorney is to get the publicity but let go and get out before their law license is consumed. Ghoulsie…failed to exit in time. Krakenlady…likely has failed.

I mean, they gotta be better than Rudy, right?

You’d think that by now these attorneys would catch on that top tier legal firms want NOTHING to do with TFG – he’s a lousy client, doesn’t pay his bills, and half of their clients would walk if he was taken on. I can’t imagine being so desperate for cash that a person would lend their name to this conman. Yes, he’s a former president, but he’s also a grifter of the highest order. And remember, if you don’t know who’s being conned, YOU’RE being conned.

Halligan told NBC that she was unaware of what documents the FBI might have wanted
Well, golly. If only there were some official document available to the target and his attorneys that explicitly listed what the FBI expected to find. Something they could release to the press and clear up the whole matter regarding potential planted evidence, scope of search etc…

Oh, well. It was a nice thought anyway.

I’m thinking that even the MAGA-rubes might just be smart enough to know to hire better attorneys than the ones dotard collects. But, nah. Since his PAC or the RNC pays the attorneys, maybe cheap attorneys is the way to go.
Constantly amazed at the brazen grift and how successful it is.

Before her career with Trump, Halligan does not appear to have had a history in the practice of defamation or national security law.
It was unclear how she transitioned to taking on Trump as a client.
Do a google search for her picture and you’ll know why Trump picked her.

Excerpts:
Trump’s latest lawyers in connection with the congressional and criminal investigations into the Jan. 6 insurrection are Evan Corcoran and John Rowley III, Washington-area attorneys already involved in legal fights related to the Capitol attack and its aftermath.

Meanwhile, Rolling Stone reported that Trump had “preliminary conversations” with attorney Timothy Parlatore about strategy in the event he’s hit with criminal charges. Parlatore did not return a request for comment. His previous clients include former New York City police commissioner and Trump campaign adviser Bernie Kerik, and Eddie Gallagher, a Navy SEAL whose court-martial case became a conservative rallying point.

Patriots can no longer join insurrection with confidence, with all those infiltrators, and false flag schemes…

It would not surprise me at all to learn that TFG and his attorneys have been enjoined from disclosing the text of that warrant. The subject matters of the alleged classified docs may themselves be subject to secrecy.

“Liberal Jack-booted thugs”
I’ve never seen those words together before. Liberals I suppose sometimes wear Doc Martins, but not necessarily to commit thuggery.
