President Trump’s relationship with Fox News seems to have gotten back on good terms.
Despite spending Saturday night accusing his favorite network of being “politically correct” by having House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff (D-CA) and former FBI Director James Comey appear on its Sunday morning program, Trump appeared to sing Fox News’ praises by tweeting quotes from various hosts and programs.
Trump is humiliated daily. He sees that the House majority has perfectly captured his treasonous activity. No matter what he says and in which forums—like tonight’s rally—he says it, he knows how history will judge him. His words rallying fascist support are said in full knowledge that his corruption has now been (partially) exposed. And he knows that there’s a lot yet to be uncovered. So—humiliated. All that now will follow impeachment is about his trying to hurt others in revenge. Maybe another country. Maybe minorities. All revenge.
TPM,
The focus of this article shouldn’t be endless examples of how Fox and Trump ‘got back together.’
It should be multiple interviews with qualified experts about Trump’s mental state, FoxNews’ influence on the president, the symbiotic nature of the relationship, and what that means for our democracy.
Today, Trump will do anything to keep the spotlight on his antics. Look for some real oddball attention-getting maneuvers, like falling into a puddle, calling Canada “America’s Greatest Foe,” or announcing a military blockade of the Canary Islands.
After hollering the Democrats will never impeach him, while at the same time whining that’s all the Democrats have been wanting to do - even before his little escalator ride, the truth is he’s gut-level frightened and has nowhere else to go.
The story, title and accompanying photos of Trump were and are click-bait.
If the story title and actual text was what someone like David Brinkley would report and narrate, there would be less clicks and indignation.
The man is unbalanced. In response to the House holding him as accountable as they should any POTUS, Trump has unleashed every bell and whistle in his play-pen.
