Yeah, I agree that’s a safe conclusion. It still raises questions that we may never know the answer to because as far as I know it’s legal to wear body armor anywhere one wants. A little odd, hot and uncomfortable, but not illegal.
He slept in his office the night before the tailgate, so he either kept the armor in his car or he took it inside the building where his office is. He said he was warned of violence on Monday. He slept in his office on Tuesday night. So did he procure body armor between Monday evening and Tuesday evening, or does he keep body armor in his car or office all the time? If he got it on Tuesday, where’d it get it or who did he get it from? How’d he pay for it? Does he still have it or was it on loan?
