What needs to be stressed, often and loudly, is that he broke the law using photos and videos for a campaign commercial. Both the graveside fiasco and the footage at the Tomb of the Unknowns were used in that and neither is allowed by law.
As to his claim on 18 months? He only had 11 months. Seven were under Biden before the withdrawal. This lie has been reported on repeatedly since he put out the lie in 2022

What an absolute coward. I mean, I know he’s in this position because he cannot afford to lose support, but it’s very clear that he himself is not an anti-abortion true believer (right there along with a majority of, even, GOPers). But he refuses to make the argument for his position and why it should be his party’s position. So, he ends up looking like who he in fact is–someone with no real convictions*** about anything.

Dude: I am an actual hillbilly from Appalachia (with college degrees), and growing up in the dairy business, we always had rubber gloves, and always had a couch, or two, none defiled as far as I know.
We used to get Chattanooga broadcast TV in my corner of Redneckistan, and for some years they broadcast ads for “Gross Furniture of Trenton, GA” (county seat of Dade Co, GA). We’d always say, “no thanks, I have enough gross furniture.”

I don’t think we can say that 1930s Germans were “stupid,” although I will grant that 21st-century humans are vastly better-informed in general, and much savvier in particular about fascism, and democratic decline into evil.
But, that wisdom was a gift to us, purchased with the blood of the Greatest Generation and then handed down to us lazy jerks via history education and popular culture. Today’s humans are not magically wiser about this stuff, we were given wisdom by the people who fought and died to expunge another branch of this same evil.
As far as today’s neo-Nazis being lazy entitled babies… many are, but the Left has no shortage of keyboard warriors. <awkward pause> We are all enjoying the promise of democracy: the ability to fight serious political fights using words instead of bullets. Trump’s J6 insurrectionists are proud of themselves because they got up off the couch to change that. Getting off the couch is good, but replacing politics with bullets was a bad goal; better to have stayed on the couch.
