I guess any hope of his disappearing from our screens and consciousnesses after January 20 is futile. Whether in prison, in exile, or on the campaign trail for four straight years, he will continue to insert his malevolent presence on a daily basis. The only possible silver lining is that he could take the entire GOP down in flames with him.

Heāll keep talking about running in 2024, and grift potentially billions from the morans, then decide around April/May 2024 that heās not running due to health, family, etc.

I would not worry much about this. Trumpās public presenceāwithout him being POTUSāwill be dramatically reduced. For one thing, the President MUST be covered. Second, his real power is gone, once he becomes a private citizen. Third, in his efforts to duplicate his POTUS presence, Trumpābeing an emotional infantāwill fuck this up, royally.

Hey, if he wants to overshadow the rest of a potential field of 2024 challengers, I think thatās great. If he wants to hold the GOP in a cult of personality as its adherents die off over time and are not replaced, I think thatās wonderful. Go for it, Donnie.

By Trump throwing his hat in the ring he is making it hard for democrats to let bygones be bygones.
Those blanket pardons that he wants to give his associates, family and even himself, are just as good as the new administration reluctance to prosecute. If they really want to keep the Trumpies busy they can just investigate, prosecute piecemeal and go all the way to the SCOTUS figure out if the crime is covered in the pardon, giving the accused a lot of opportunities of committing new crimes in the attempt to cover each other up.

For tRump, itās always all about the grift. If he hints at a 2024 run, he can maintain his stranglehold on the tRumpublican party and, more importantly, the MAGAts will keep giving him money. IMHO, however, I think that there is about a 100% chance that tRump will either be dead, in prison, in exile, or in an alzheimerās home long before 2024 rolls around.
