President Trump had an atypically muted response to the Supreme Court’s ruling protecting LGBTQ employees from workplace discrimination, during a roundtable for senior citizens on Monday afternoon.
“That’s what it’s all about — we live with the decision of the Supreme Court,” Trump said. “Very powerful, very powerful decision actually, but they have so ruled.”

Given even Kellyanne Conway’s response, not to mention those of social conservatives poking about the rubble of the Federalist Society’s grand plan to get fellow travelers appointed to the courts, Trump’s comment is an odd one. I wonder, though, once he gets a gander at how this playing out with his base, if he won’t start tweeting out stuff like, “Gorsuch I hardly know–and such a lightweight legal mind! Practically begged me to nominate him and I did–felt sorry for him!”
Notice he’s not weighing in on SCOTUS decision to not take up the case of CA’s sanctuary law. You have to wonder which is causing him more agita, gays or browns including Jerry.
