Trump Ominously Invokes Violence on Truth Social Over Impending Indictment From Manhattan DA - TPM – Talking Points Memo

Yes: that’s the most puzzling thing about him.

Right out of the Nazi Germany playbook. Below, from the Prologue to “The Nazi Conspiracy: The Secret Plot to Kill Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill.” It is an unlearned lesson from history.

"Built on a twisted form of extreme patriotism, it’s fueled by racial hatred, mass propaganda, conspiracy theories, the demonizing of minority groups, and the cult of personality around a narcissistic leader. Under the influence of this ideology – plus the ruthless political party that promotes it – a country that formerly embraced democratic values has turned towards authoritarianism, hatred, and violence. It is Germany and its principal allies, Italy and Japan, who have unleashed this calamitous war."

“Americans have the right to assemble, the right to protest. And that’s an important constitutional right. And he doesn’t have to say peaceful for it to mean peaceful. Of course, he means peaceful. Of course, President Trump means peaceful protests.”

What if he’s a president eating KFC, while gleefully watching the violence on TeeVee for 187 minutes?

It’s unclear who Trump’s referring to as the “Clinton Campaign” in 2023, but Bragg’s connection to Soros is more indirect

Frequent tactic, the purity test is under all of this. In Trump’s world, the fact his opponent is human and breathing brings kinship with all sorts of contrived monsters and manipulators. And he himself cannot, absolutely cannot survive the same scrutiny if people are actually paying attention. His “supporters” always have to be kept in a frenzy to keep them from seeing the dichotomies presented by their supposed “hero” and “savior”.

Thirty seconds of browsing can bring a wealth of connectivity to Russia and Putin alone. Two minutes of browsing can provide enough for the first volume of a book series. So keep everyone floundering and flopping about so he is not put to his own purity test.

Trump: “DEATH AND DESTRUCTION!!*# :space_invader: :japanese_ogre:!”

MTG: “Of course he means peaceful death and destruction.”

I wish that law enforcement in this country would put on a full-court press to remove this poison, this menace, from our national life. I’m so sick and tired of this incitement. Either we are a nation of laws and subject this outrage to them, or we’re not. Time to put up or shut up, somehow, anyhow.

“Of course he means peaceful.” You can tell that MTG has gotten a taste of institutional power and is becoming ambitious. She’s lost her edge–her shrill, voice-cracking, deranged, homicidal edge. Sad.

These threats are wanna be authoritarian, dictator bullshit. Indict him and subject him to the exact same process as everyone else. If he is released on his own recognizance, place a gag order and a very specific prohibition against inciting violence. When he violates those terms of his pre trial freedom ( which he will within 24 hours), lock his orange ass up.

“What kind of person can charge another person, in this case a former president of the United States, who got more votes than any sitting president in history, and leading candidate (by far!) for the Republican Party nomination, with a crime, when it is known by all that NO crime has been committed,” he wrote, “& also that potential death & destruction in such a false charge could be catastrophic for our Country? Why & who would do such a thing? Only a degenerate psychopath that truely hates the USA!”

C’mon Negril, I’m hungry

“TPM will be waiting with bated breath to see how the MAGA right tries to spin “death and destruction” in the coming days.”

One thing that is assured. As he is stirring his base to violence, he will never be in the front of his mob, leading the charge. Never. He will be back in Mar-a-lago, watching from his comfy personal dining room, chowing down on a quarter pounder.

First off, his last sentence is purely projection. And he misspelled “truly.”
Secondly, i am simply astounded at this guy’s messianic opinion of himself, that he, alone, is worth the price of other people’s lives and well-being. He is being held accountable for his crimes. Therefore, his followers must sacrifice their lives for his honor. I understand that he has a severe mental disease, but i’m not sure than any of us have ever witnessed such a monumental and catastrophic example of any God complex as massive as his. This kind of illness is only associated with the worst human beings to have ever lived.

Tfg lives entirely in a made-up world created by his not-so-bright brain. Truth always conflicts with his lies so it must of necessity be avoided at all times. It’s a nuts thing. We wouldn’t understand.

Trump’s remarks are the thing of Shakespearean tragedy in the sense of the Greek observation that “those whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.” More (even!) than in past, this recent comment gives the impression of going off the edge of the abyss, as well as a desire to take all of us down with him in his narcissistic “crash and burn”.

I’m only half kidding when saying that they’ll need to haul the guy away in straightjacket (with the presidential seal printed on it?).

Once again he uses a callow and cynical News Business to amplify his stupidities.
All of those smart people fall into his trap.
He should be ignored by the media just as the rabble will ignore him for this clarion call.
Reality TV produced by a malignant narcissist is bad for you.
The voters canceled this show.

And more than just disregarding the health and safety of others, he’s hostile and encouraging the harming or killing of anyone he perceives as opposing him. How explicit does he have to be?
