Trump: My Nov. Timeline For COVID Vaccine Isn’t About Reelection But It ‘Wouldn’t Hurt’

“But I’m doing it not for the election,” he added. “I want it fast because I want to save a lot of lives.”

Good Lord, did you all just feel that wrenching motion to the side?
I swear the planet heaved like it was starting to roll off-axis.
That was due to the massive simultaneous world-wide eye-rolls of billions of people.

The question I have is just what does Trump have to do with any aspect of vaccine development to deserve any “credit”? Yes, the US government has contributed taxpayer monies to the effort. And, unlike Trump, I pay taxes and am hereby claiming credit for anything coming out of this that’s worthwhile.

There will likely be a number of vaccines developed over time, some will be safer and more effective than others. And these will outcompete the rest until, in a few years, there’s one or two in common use.

The Bobbittization has apparently already occurred…

“saving a lot of lives”:

great if Trump can claim credit for all of it

bad if it involves doing anything he could have done in February, but didn’t.

To be fair I think that he is not as interested I there actually being a vaccine, just saying there is one, just before the election.

He doesn’t care for reality, he care you vote based on his BS.

Yes – the man is totally devoid of self-reflection. That his past actions would even be subject to review, let alone evaluated by something called a “conscience,” is an impossibility. Shame is something his father cured him of, and he only cares for others to the extent that he identifies them with himself.

A sociopath wrapped inside the husk of a narcissist who excels in nothing but pathological lying.

But as the Trump administration prepares to “overwhelm” the airwaves to promote the vaccine in the fall, vaccine experts are becoming concerned that the White House could barrel through the process of approving the vaccine without properly vetting it for political reasons.

I’m willing to volunteer to administer the shot to tRumps rump becuz I’m a patriotic 'Murican.

Note that he doesn’t give a damn about policy except as a blatant shout-out directly to his voters, and no one else.

And his voters?

He cares about his voters amassing more votes than the opposition on Nov. 3. And for that, no lie is too far-fetched or too pandering.

Oh, I might take it if Dr. Fauci takes it.

One can only draw a basic conclusion, i.e. the same as expressed by Rex Tillerson in calling Trump “a f_cking moron.”

Here’s Trump in Ohio claiming that Joe Biden is “against God.” “No religion, no anything, hurt the Bible, hurt God. He’s against God,” Trump says.

Is there any hope that there are ethical people in the FDA and the vaccine producers that would stand up and speak publicly if the trials have been rushed and are incomplete?

As I’m sure most here know, the story of King Canute (Knute) ordering the tide to cease is often garbled. It’s often told in a way that portrays Canute as a moron king foolishly ordering the waves to stop. He was, of course, doing it to rebuke flattering courtiers for blowing smoke up the royal ass about his mightiness and omnipotence.

Orange Canute doesn’t really think he can just order a vaccine to be delivered on schedule. He doesn’t think he can’t. He doesn’t actually care. He’s just doing what people with Narcissistic Personality Disorder do: saying shit that he thinks people he wants something from–adulation, approval, money, sex, whatever–want to hear. They lack a theory of mind for normal people. They just have a vague, heuristically derived sense of what will work. So they just say shit like a kid playing Battleship randomly calling out coordinates and if they get a hit, they embellish.

But there’s rarely any follow-through unless their having said something stupid and wrong ends up becoming a serious source of shame and humiliation.

Trump’s probably on to something here.

That he’s still walking around the planet despite all his staff getting covid is proof that either God doesn’t exist, or that she really is pissed off at all of us.

Can you imagine the outcry from the usual suspects though, given their reaction to “basket of deplorables”, if Hillary Clinton had called Trump what he truly is, a “godless hypocrite and libertine”?

As it is, with Trump, there will be only be the sound of crickets.

“But I’m doing it not for the election,”
is this what he is down too in hopes of something to help him?
the law and order idea went out the window
the economy went bye
unemployment is staggering
virus continues to eat America up
his minions are right on schedule with the negotiations.
executive order idea is already useless for brownie points
I’m waiting for him to say the Beirut Bombing was carried out by Iran and he will fix that problem also immediately.
Become republican war president # 4
That will win him the election and make Netanyahu’s dreams come true.
wouldn’t put it past him.
He is becoming morre dangerous by the day and we have 90 Days 6 Hours 59 Minutes 56 Seconds. to go.
good luck to us all

– Mr. President, do you believe you were sent by God to save the human race?

– No, no, but many people say that, some people say that, just so you know. Many people. Do I believe that? No, not necessarily, but maybe I should, maybe I should. Okay, thanks everybody.

That requires what Trump does not possess

makes me wonder what the pentagon would do, just in case, because trump speaks and expects others to do the work or be terminated,
I wonder.

More Trump:

“He’s [Biden’s] against God; he’s against guns; he’s against energy; our kind of energy.”

And he’s slurring through the remarks like he’s on some kind of meds. I’m thinking Mike DeWine is glad he came down with Covid-19 right now and couldn’t be here.
