President Donald Trump refrained from levying his usual attacks on Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman and other witnesses in the House impeachment investigation on Tuesday.
No tweets instead he claimed something must be done about the “sick” Whitehouse press corps and freedom of the press before angrily kicking every reporter out of the room.
Mick Mulvaney must have brought in 20 cheeseburgers and 14 taco bowls with Donnie being too busy eating plus having greasy hands preventing him from tweeting. At the WH it’s called “Executive Time.”
Somebody on the WH staff gave Trump a snow job on the analysis of the hearing today. Wait until Volker and Morrison testify this afternoon and let’s not forget the main one, Sondland on tomorrow! Hell, they may just have to zip line the man to Walter Reed this time!
So it works, all they had to do is to ask the guys in Fox and Friends to tell him, no with Hannity won’t work because the show is at night and he would have forgotten by the morning…Fox & Friends is the ticket, nice and fresh in his memory.
Here’s the whole video of the opening of the cabinet meeting, starting with an INTERMINABLE prayer by Perry during which Trump gets bored and starts looking around the room, leaving Perry to drone on about his gratitude to the Lord and finally stumble toward an Amen.
I guess if you’re president you don’t have to keep your head down and concentrate when there’s a prayer going on. You can scope out the surroundings and think your own thoughts… of many things, like cabbages and kings…
Trump also accuses Pelosi MULTIPLE times of being too incompetent to get the NAFTA substitute legislation off her desk. “Even Democrats want to vote for it! I hear she’s using it as leverage for impeachment votes, the woman is just plain incompetent.” Incompetent, incompetent, incompetent. “Doing nothing but this impeachment nonsense.”
As to how he looked, I thought I saw a little more definition of his cheekbones which in a person without a layer of orange paint on might make them look a bit haggard or drawn, and his voice was not the strongest I’ve ever heard it, but he’s pretty much back to his usual self I’d say.
Then again, I don’t see much of him on a normal basis, so I’m not the best person to do a comparison.
