President Donald Trump got his wish: The direct payment checks that many Americans will soon receive as part of the government’s COVID-19 relief package will bear Trump’s name on them.

Can anyone be surprised by this?

I feel like this is going to backfire. What Donald doesn’t understand is that this is our money and he works for us, he seems to have it backward.

Of all the horrible, inhuman monsters in the GOP, Trump again proves he is the most horrible and inhuman.

Not to mention, it’s Congress, not him, that appropriated the funds.

A narcissist cannot help themselves. It’s a wonder he doesn’t demand his signature appears on US currency.

Rhetorical question, I assume?

If your check is late . Remember it took extra time to satisfy a purely vanity request and take the steps to print Donald J. Trump on the check.

So trump’s name is all over the biggest socialist giveaway in American history.

Be sure to remind the rancid GOP next time a Democrat tries to help poor Americans.

trump’s (AND the GOP’s) names are all over this socialist bailout.

Interesting but I was thinking something along the same lines as that.

As the Post notes, it was Sens. Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Josh Hawley (R-MO) who came up with the idea, not Trump.

Hawley, of course, was more than willing to nest his face in Rump’s scrotum but if Romney was involved, I can’t imagine he floated the idea with the intent that it was going to get Rump praise. Probably more to highlight the narcissism.

Beg to differ- a fraction of the people receiving these checks are dim-witted enough to believe that the money is coming from him. Not necessarily his personal funds, but that he “got it” for them from the evil “government”. Those are likely votes for him.

There are plenty of horrible people to go around:

Every member of Congress recommending sacrificing citizens to the disease, and anyone else doing the same, should first have to do two things. Spend a full shift, covered head to toe in PPE, in a hospital ICU unit. Second, sit in a room with several families telling their stories of losing a loved one to the disease.

If they then go out and still say commerce is more important than lives there is no hope for them.

Very true. And those are the votes he would’ve had anyway. The remainder of citizens will probably smell the narcissism coming of the paper.

I propose they also print his signature on the body-bags

Maybe he should have his name put on coffins and mass graves, which, unlike the checks, he had a real important part in making possible.

There are no words for how low this piece of garbage will stoop. A lot of those checks will go to families whose loved ones died because of his behavior and attempt to minimize this illness. My hope is that he will end up like Robin Vos, the speaker of the assembly in Wisconsin, who had his faced rubbed in it last week. He made a complete jackass out of himself by dressing up like a health care provider and claiming it was safe to go to vote because he was sure that he had already won the Supreme Court seat for his cast of deplorables. He was wrong and the Dems now have a wonderful visual of the leader of the most craven Republicans.

He’s an idiot. I got my check this morning, or rather my bank did. I’ll never see the actual check. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
