MEMORANDUM FOR THE SECRETARY OF COMMERCE
SUBJECT: Excluding Illegal Aliens From the Apportionment Base Following the 2020 Census
Let the lawsuits commence.
You mean “illegals” don’t even count as 3/5 of a person?
Wow! That’s a bit of a step backwards …
Gosh even the slaves counted for 3/5s of a person in the count! Maybe he’s looking to start a race war between Hispanics and African-Americans.
If he keeps this up people might think he’s a full-blown racist. Imagine that!
I wonder if Melania was counted in the last census while she was in our country illegally.

Based on the ruling the last couple of weeks of the SC session, I can imagine Roberts won’t go for Trumps unilateral usurpation of their previous rulings
Factually incorrect. Congress apportions representatives, not the president, per the census data. Did he even have a real lawyer read this?
It should be obvious to all that the Founders intended that the King determine who should be counted in a census, and even who has the right to vote, despite what they wrote in our quaint constitution.
This goes nowhere. The Constitution is crystal clear. We count everybody.
I wonder if a President Biden could sign one Executive Order rescinding all of the Chosen One’s?
Another one for the courts. If it makes it to the SCOTUS, it will be a 5-4 decision with Roberts openly begging GOP to stop being idiots and just give him something he could rule in favor of.
I’m not convinced Trump read that as it’s kind of long. I suppose the whole idea is based on John Yoo’s new theory of Presidential law-making.
I’m willing to offer a friendly wager to Drumpf: I’ll support this policy if you can read the Executive Order aloud all the way through without any mistakes.
I may very well be mistaken, but aren’t a great many people in the U.S. illegally involved in farm work and associated industries? And aren’t a great many of those people principally working in southern states? Throw in those in hospitality such as resort hotels and facilities, golf courses, etc clustered in the south. Meat processing facilities, a great many found in red leaning states. It seems to me depriving those states of people counting towards House apportionment, and the resulting seats each state is granted in the House, exposes southern states to as much or more losses of seats in the House than would be suffered by blue states. No?
The constitution says what SCOTUS says it does.
Like the dozens TrumpCo GolfCo recently fired from their landscaping jobs?
tRump didn’t even read it.
The usual, playing to his base, trying to burnish his brand (as he sees it).
Neither he nor his advisors care about whether this happens or not, really. Just looking for press.
They’re going to have to create a new cabinet secretary in charge of the Department to un-Trumpfuck the Country.
