Evidently the Trump folks require a fact free universe in order to survive. The county should get a direct hookup to Fox for their libraries, while they are at it.

I can sense the face palming of a thousand librarians.

Not in this story was the fact that local newspapers were inundated with complaints about what this board did when they printed this action by the board. Seems the vast majority of voters even in this part of Florida disagree with the idea that the NY Times is fake news. Many wanted the ability to read the Times online rather than having to go to a library to read the print edition. Buying this subscription was a bargain and would have made the digital edition available to the 70,000 people who have library cards from this county.

The Times editorial board considers the opinions of these people more important than everyone who accuses it of engaging in bothsidsing, Trump normalization and Clinton Derangement Syndrome lest someone call it “biased.”

Why don’t these officials just make a list of acceptable books for the libraries?

And while they’re at it, they might as well make a list of current books on the shelves to burn…

I wonder what newspaper subscriptions the library is allowed to pay for.

And teachers. And parents. Every non-yahoo in the county is going to find this intensely embarrassing.

at last we see those even handed NYT folks hoisted on their own petard, hard to feel any sympathy or frankly that the citizens are losing anything they value. Not a bad bargain when you think about it.

What a set of dunces. These are the people we have in government in Florida? Maybe they are just half-idiots.

well, I’m even more embarrassed to live in the most GOP county in AZ than I was before. I just checked, and the only two national newspapers the county library subscribes to is the Wall Street Journal and USA Today.

The double irony being that I took the “if the Times doesn’t acknowledge error (inconcievable!), fire Baquet and replace him with someone commissioned to make major changes to how they cover politics, hell will freeze before I subscribe again” pledge long before these yahoos did.

Maybe this will get newspapers like the NYT to stop pandering to Republicans like when it called Obama’s statement that was true for somewhere between 98% and 99% of all Americans “the lie of the year” and report facts instead of practicing “bothsideism” that equated something all Americans do, misusing emails, with all the crimes, lies and incompetence of Bush Jr. and Donald Trump.

The NYT pandering to idiots like those in this news story is as responsible as any other single thing including racism fo why Trump is president.

So will they also cancel all their Amazon services as well, because Dear Trump wouldn’t approve?

Here’s wishing him good luck.

I guess it’s all email forwards for them from here on out.
I’ve often asked my Republicans friends who send me these things why they don’t forward them to the public library to be published in public. This is what those Florida libraries should do.

The truth, by any other name, is just too painful to accept.

The truth!!! It hurts!!!
