Trump Likely To Cut WHO Funding | Talking Points Memo

Well, he did repeal a bunch of air quality standards for factories and processing plants, and roll back emission regulations for car manufactures, so there is that achievement.

I was just underlining the importance of voting. Work with me, imkmu. Come on, pal.

I think everyone on TPM already knows that.

O! Proud sly tongue, that ventures quick within,
Then soon upon a backward journey lithe.
Anon, once more the gesture, then begin:
Command sinistral pedestal to writhe.
Commence thou then the fervid Hokey-Joke,
A mad gyration, lips in wanton swirl.
To spin! A wilde release from the Chosen’s mouth.
Blessed dervish! Surely canst go, girl.
The Hoke. The Joke. Banish now thy doubt.
Verily I say, tis what t rumpp is all about.

yes…because we should cut dollars to anybody that could actually HELP to save the Orange Yam’s rather considerable a$$. FFS.

“As you know, we give them approximately $500 million a year. And we’re going to be talking about that subject next week,” Trump said. We’ll have a lot to say about it. We’ll hold it.”

Part of the problem is that China was on the brakes before word got out, and once reality had slapped them in the face, the US was on the brakes. Anybody here think the Prince of Orange didn’t tell CDC to quash that request?

Ask your Congresscritter if they think it makes sense to cut funding for a global health organization in the middle of a world wide pandemic (that hasn’t been reported as even in Africa, has it?) who’s response may be imperfect but definitely WORLD WIDE.

Ask them if it made sense for Trump to get rid of the office tasked with dealing with World Wide Pandemics to begin with while you’re at it.

If Trump wants to be a war president, then can we indict him for war crimes? Just a thought…

It’s “trial balloon-ism” at work. He wants to see which way and how hard the wind blows before crafting a lie denying that he ever thought/felt/said such-and-such.

“No one does anything”…

You are right - our vote is all we have. But it’s not true that people haven’t given everything they have to trying to oust and/or derail this lunatic, right up to impeaching him knowing full well the senate would acquit him.

The problem is a complicit senate, a corrupt Justice Department, and a major news network that has covered him, again and again.

I understand your frustration that things only seem to get worse and worse, but it’s not for a want of trying from so many people.

Having crippled the US’s pandemic preparedness, Trump wants to do the same to the rest of the world.

Dems should include additional WHO funding in their next stimulus bill.
