The 2024 GOP primary race has long been predicted to be a showdown between former president Donald Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. On Tuesday, it seems Trump cast the first stone, giving us a taste of the mess to come.

In a head-to-head matchup between just Trump and DeSantis in a hypothetical primary, DeSantis leads Trump by 9 points.
Still lots of time for each of them to showcase their racist asshole credentials, thus clinching the nomination.

One of Dump’s few abilities is that he can identify who threatens him most. That’s why he went after Biden early and often. Dump and DeSatan couldn’t be more deserving of their bitter embrace. May they pile-drive each other into the ground.
Twice as weak because he hid behind a repost on TruthSocial, it wasn’t his own direct attack. We’d better get used to this because he can’t attack DeSantis on policy differences. The MAGAts eat up that shit DeSantis is pulling in Florida.
It’s impossible to predict how this primary will play out, because the Big Unknown is what effect criminal indictments will have when they eventually land on Trump. Which I’m still sure will happen. Will that boost his support with the MAGAt cult base or diminish it? Will the base look for a safer (and out of jail) bet for 2024, or stick with their Dear Leader?
