Trump Keeps Making Very Public Admissions About His Own Actions In Mar-a-Lago Case

Former President Donald Trump continued to dig his own grave during an interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier, when he all but confessed to knowingly and deliberately obstructing and withholding records he was ordered to turn in to the Justice Department.

Keep digging your own grave, bigmouth. Harassing Hunter Biden for a plea deal on misdemeanor charges while he faces prosecution for felonies. He’s a regular genius!

More than a year and a half between January 20 and the FBI search. He was so busy on the golf course there was no time to separate his shirts, shoes etc. from very, very few top secret documents.

A guy has to have priorities.

Having moved recently, I sympathize with Trump on the dreary task of going through boxes. Perhaps I would have been more interested if they were classified Top Secret or 5Eyes documents. So many boxes to go through. So many boxes for Waltine to move repeatedly.

I’m not sure any other case needs to succeed. This dumbass has just confessed. He stole/mishandled classified document, then lied and obstructed. I think Smith has made no preconditions, because he has read Trump correctly. He is compulsive and needs to be “in control”. He surrounds himself with toadies and fires lawyers that say “no”. So, he’s going to hang himself by never ever shutting up. And Trump is way too stupid to know what to say that would help him. Also, keep in mind, that the charging document mentions Trump waving around a classified map (remember, he also Tweeted a picture of an Iranian missile site minutes after a briefing, so there’s a history of him mishandling this exact thing). It also mentions him blabbing to the same person that he had Iranian attack plans, which he also waved around. I think Smith is going to let Trump reach a certain critical mass, then have the FBI search all his “residences” at once to get the rest of the classified documents. At which point, he will bring a second case in New Jersey and/or NY. Both places absolutely hate Trump.

“But before I send boxes over, I have to take my things out,” Trump told Baier. “These boxes were interspersed with all sorts of things. Golf shirts, clothing, pants, shoes. There were many things.”

@zillacop is about to move - so my advice is don’t pack your clothes and shoes in document boxes along with legal papers and registrations. So many make that mistake.

The guy who was crashing random wedding events at mar-al-stinko was too busy to go through the boxes when the DoJ’s chief of counterintelligence came to him and personally asked for the docs back. Yeah, that’s the ticket.

as if he was going to shut himself in a stuffy room and physically bend over and read and sort through boxes himself

yes, but did you put your t-shirts in a folder next to your dishwasher warranty?

Gee. If he hadn’t taken classified docs that did not belong to him, he wouldn’t have had to pretend that he didn’t have time to look.

Grifting, traitorous scumbag.

I have a hard (impossible) time believing he would ever go through the boxes himself. He would have his people do it. TFG doing manual labor? When pigs fly!

I’m starting to think that this orange fellow might be an idiot.

Many people are saying, big strong men with huge hands and with tears in their eyes, Sir, you are confessing very, very strongly.

Trump’s MO now is to say, “I did it.” And then challenge the system to put limits on him. We’ve seen his own party, which initially rejected him because he was too corrupt a businessman and evil a person even for them, has now completely embraced him, lowering their standards to the point they have none. Now he wants our nation to do the same, and became a nation of just one man, not of laws.

Why would your shoes and shirts be in the same room as classified documents, and thereby end up in the same box? Oh, right…

There’s probably some rolls of White House toilet paper in there, too.

Trump’s behaviors, by all accounts, are clearly beyond what most people would consider normal. He is called a narcissist, a sociopath, a psychopath, and more by people who know him. The rest of us just know that he just ain’t right. I throw this question out to the group, Is there any chance his lawyers could plead mental illness as a defense? My own opinion is that he is a mutant hominid.

Remember, anything Trump says to Fox, OAN etc is for consumption to his base. He knows they are dumb enough to swallow his “logic” and parrot it endlessly to drown out uncomfortable legal arguments.
