James Crumbley, father of Ethan Crumbley, found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in son’s school shooting (msn.com)
PONTIAC, Mich. — A jury on Thursday convicted James Crumbley of involuntary manslaughter in connection with his teenage son’s deadly school shooting in 2021, in step with his wife, who was found guilty last month on the same charge.
The jury’s decision after about 10 hours of deliberations caps a landmark case that for the first time in the U.S. held the parents of a mass school shooter criminally responsible. James and Jennifer Crumbley’s son, Ethan, who was 15 when he opened fire at Oxford High School in suburban Detroit, pleaded guilty as an adult and was sentenced in December to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
“These were egregious facts in this case. These parents could have prevented this tragedy. It was foreseeable,” Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald said after the verdict.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York isn’t saying why it delayed.

Question for the lawyers out there (txlawyer?): Can the Judge in NY demand the SDNY office explain why they pulled this stunt??
Side note: as a father I CANNOT understand how Ford’s father could betray her like that, lie about it, and then try to explain it with “I didn’t send him a letter, I sent an email.” WTF!

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York isn’t saying why it delayed responding to a Trump subpoena and then started producing tens of thousands of responsive documents just days before trial.
Because saying the real reason would probably earn him a trip to prison.

Nyet… I mean, uhh… I’m sure there’s an entirely legit reason for the delay. There is absolutely no sign of an ongoing pressure campaign to all witnesses, court officials, judges, and/or other members of law enforcement.

ETA: Sad that it’s so predictable and I know with almost 100% certainty what I’m going to find by just looking past the first curtain. His whole shtick is presenting the “reasonable alternative” to “radical environmentalism”, i.e., the “it can’t happen here” effort that guarantees complacency and inertia result in nothing being done.
