If Musk were a clever or brilliant thinker, as some people still believe despite all available evidence, one could assume that he has some master plan or that he’s making strategic decisions about the scope, scale, design and functionality of the service.

He is a nutter. He paid $44b to be a part of the conversation. And he does have skills. Heck, even if he starts a business, with other people’s money, letting other people build the company and do the work that’s based on other people’s ideas, he’s still a good futurist that’s able to do that, which many can not.

Hoever, Elmo spent two decades cultivating an image that he was the smartest man in the world and would solve all global problems and take us to Mars. That’s clearly, clearly not the case.

He’s spent a lot of money to expose himself as stupid, entitled and really whack conspiracies when it comes to issues outside his knowledge base.

It’s entirely safe to assume vast numbers of police, military, private security and the Secret Service are fascists, white supremacists, Nazi sympathizers and wingnut conspiracy believers. If not for the short term difficulty of recruiting and training new officers probably a third of the Secret Service should be dismissed summarily. But then they’d have to turn in their guns, badges, IDs and laptops. Which would be a problem because they’re all misplaced in various hotel rooms, taxis, park benches, brothels and airport bars.

One of the lines in today’s MM referenced Chump’s feral attraction.
If 150 million people voted in 2020, then that means over 100 million who didn’t vote. Maybe who never voted enough in the past to make it onto our radar. I think that is where Chump and the Rs have gotten some sneaky growth, even as they kill off and turn off their traditional voters.

Traditional Rs, and probably a huge chunk of our feral population are doing everything they can to drive a collapse. All of them. Societal, political, fiscal, environmental. Not because it is a brilliant plan, but they have abandoned all other tools and all they have is sledgehammers.

See, when you swear an undying oath to The Stupid Party, you sign yourself up in opposition to everything Left. And since Left is the party of people, hard work, building, planning, responsibility, good govt., common benefit and infrastructure…they find themselves opposed to…everything. So, it all must be destroyed.

Of course, billionaires and Big Money and Industries aren’t keen on that and would want something more orderly…but they are in the best positions to capitalize on disasters for short-term gains so their pushback is very limited.
