I luv cats, read Solzhenitsyn’s book years ago. Left me numb with the horror. Argentina ran the counterparts of the Russian gulag and for the same purpose - - to control the populace.

Keep thinking about that photo behind Kristi Noem of prisoners stacked in racks, in layers like cordwood. If you’ve ever seen pictures from Auschwitz, it’s hard to use any term other than concentration camp. True, extermination camp is extra. And it’s hardly reassuring that there are worse prisons in El Salvador.

Bukele provides the latest evidence that you can tell exactly how evil people are by Trump’s desire to be around them and his pleasure in shaking their hands. The first and definitive proof, I think. was the only sincere smile I’ve ever seen on his face – at the predating-young-girls party exchanging comments with Jeffrey Epstein, who was probably as evil as people come. But he just goes on and on proving that he’s truly a barometer of evil.

The best recompence after these awful people are thrown out of office forcibly would be to deport them to this camp to live out their remaining days. They should suffer as they have forced others to suffer.
ETA: and I am all in favor of shaving Bondi’s head of her dyed-blonde locks. That would be enough for me to know she gets her punishment.

In my understanding of the concentration camps of Nazi Germany, the early concentration camps existed to break political resistance. The Trump administration is using CECOT for exactly that reason, IMO.
By that criteria, yes, it is a concentration camp. No, CECOT is (maybe) not as bad as some camps in El Salvador, and it is certainly not Auschwitz. But it is hard to see how any nation state gets to an Auschwitz by starting there. It needs precedent and evolution to become a mass killing machine after being, say, a democracy.

Can we all say a big Thank You to Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson, by all accounts a very conservative Regan appointee, who in an opinion today on the Abrego Garcia case said
"It is difficult in some cases to get to the very heart of the matter. But in this case, it is not hard at all. The government is asserting a right to stash away residents of this country in foreign prisons without the semblance of due process that is the foundation of our constitutional order. Further, it claims in essence that because it has rid itself of custody that there is nothing that can be done.
This should be shocking not only to judges, but to the intuitive sense of liberty that Americans far removed from courthouses still hold dear."
He’s a widely respected circuit court judge. Respected by this Supreme Court. His opinion is a work of art.

there is an autistic boy living across the street from us…he is a very decent kid..goes to school.does his thing anf just lives his llife. RFK is a monster, who is trading on his family name..as far as i know, he has no connection to any medical facility, a fake dr but a real, quack. he said he had a brain worm and has picked up road kill and took it ; home..wether he ate or not, i don’t know… when a persons family tells you to’beware’, it is in your interests to pay attention. i have 5 kids, all grown now,my question is, at what age are kids tested for autism/ i know from experience that children go thro’ many stages of growth…some mature[?] faster than others. but they all have little quirks..not one kid is like the other; 3 boys and 2 girls.all different in their own way..i do really despise RFK, we call him DR. DEATH.
