Trump Is Definitely Not Going On Trial In DC In March

Stuff like this kind of supports the thesis that the system needs a good smashing. I’d obviously prefer to see it as organized reform under Democratic leadership but the other side wants it to go down a different way.

I can’t wrap my head around this argument. Why run for an office you’re not eligible to hold? But, make no mistake, Trump will be arguing something entirely different should he win the election. Probably the will of the people should not be infringed.

At the NYT sponsored DealBook conference in early December Dimon warned of a recession coming in early 2024. That was two weeks before the Federal Reserve said it had stopped raising interests rates and would lower rates in 2024, citing improved inflation numbers. The only one who wants a recession in 2024 is Trump. Dimon, who is urging people to vote for Haley, is suspiciously unsupportive of Biden.

No, it’s more “if we add more unnecessary medical charges it will become even harder for poor women and POC to get the care they need.” Only rich, white, Christian women should be able to access first world reproductive health care.

I have to wonder why people haven’t made more fun of his stage personna. He has several master gestures that he obviously thinks make him look strong but are one meme away from making him look even more ridiculous. (Why can’t he raise his fist? Is he too weak? Many people are saying he does that in solidarity with the Black Power salutes given by those Olympians in 1968. Why can’t he move his feet when he’s “dancing”? is he afraid he will fall down?)

Why isn’t he warning Republicans? Seems to me they’re the party that’s completely out of control. Because he knows they’re unreasonable and unreachable or because he’s afraid of death threats?

Having Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan Chase saying it’s okay if you back a wanna be dictator can only help Biden.

My first question is who’s going to pay for this mandatory ultrasound? And secondly, why is a politician interfering unnecessarily in a private doctor-patient relationship?

Are you thinking “consequences for one’s actions” fits here? Or is it “take responsibility for your choices”?

Let’s hope that’s her plan, but of course Trump will object and want the clock re-started, and then THAT will need to be adjudicated. And she has to think about making sure he has no reason to win an appeal on conviction.

Gah! Well, we knew this wouldn’t be easy. And it’s not about Trump being above the law. Many other criminal cases are delayed on procedural grounds. This one just has more moving parts than most.

Daana Milbank outlines a blatant, institutionalized case of Democratic political cowardice:

Seems to me that FDR didn’t deal with fascist subversion by cowering before it.

CONFIRMED: Trial Date In Jan. 6 Case Is A Bust

I knew it. You knew it. We all knew it.

But U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan all but confirmed yesterday that the March trial date of Donald Trump in the Jan. 6 case in DC is unlikely to hold due to his appeal of his claim that the president enjoys immunity from criminal prosecution.

If trump is immune to the law then SO AM I
The Constitution says impeachment extends only to removal from office BUT … And I Quote
“But the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial,Judgement and Punishment according to Law” (Article 1 Section 3)
… … … … … …
A president in or out of office impeached or not IS SUBJECT TO THE LAW
