Trump Insists He Wants MAL Search Warrant Released–Which He Can Do Himself

Much as I’d like to release it- my lawyers won’t let me.

I’ll point out that TFG’s usual modus operandii is to make some grand announcement, then never follow through. His followers eat up the announcement part then almost never notice the absense of action part. So it would not surprise me at all to hear later today that one of his attoadeys has filed some quibbling objection to the release of the search warrant. In fact, the attoadey doesn’t even have to file the objection, merely a statement of opposition by 3pm today.

Isn’t the warrant under audit by the IRS?

Prince Bone Saw gave Trump’s son-in-law $2 billion dollars for Jared’s new investment fund, despite the objections of the managers of the Saudi sovereign wealth fund. Bone Saw gave Trump hundreds of millions of dollars for staging a PGA unsanctioned golf tournament at Trump’s Bedminster resort. In case you were wanting how much Bone Saw had to pay Trump for US nuclear secrets.

Came here to say exactly that. He’s posturing compliance but since he hasn’t published it on his Pravda Social, you know he doesn’t want it out. He’ll say his lawyers told him not to, not his fault, it’s under audit, blablabla.

I suspect that the judge will allow it to be released and then the next round of lies starts.

Yeah, but formal opposition will delay the release by a few weeks and we wants it, we wants it now. I do commend this magistrate for moving quickly, so far. The less than 24 hour deadline to state any opposition is a “think fast, bitch” move you don’t usually see from courts.

They’re just buying time to come up with a MAGA-plausible “explanation” and getting all the grifting emails written to go out as soon as it’s clear the info will be released. If not before.

This means nothing. One of his many revolving doors excuses for not revealing his taxes was even though he wanted to his lawyers said no.

TFG can say HE wants them released, but his lawyers don’t. Which is what I expect at 2:59 pm today.

The warrant can be released whether Trump or his lawyers object.
They do not have the power to “not allow” the release.

Whether it’s released or not, we’ll get the lies. It’s just a matter of which lies. Since they love a big lie, maybe they’ll go with, “These aren’t the same documents we were given!” Or maybe, “They’re asking for documents that never existed!”

That, or he has to defer to the interests of someone else who moves to block it (there was a mention of some allied reactionaries moving to block it yesterday.)

I’m sure it’s already been said elsewhere, but whatever information is in those paper documents has most likely long since been digitized by the thief. That means much of the value of those paper docs to the DOJ is as evidence to get various further electronic and other warrants.

From the presser and Trump’s posts, looks like we have the roadmap.

The warrant doesn’t matter, the feds need to release the affadavit, clearly they concocted a justification to raid, so doesn’t matter what was found, the whole raid is illegal and a witch hunt. Russia.

We’ve seen this script before.

I hope I can have an entire week of not thinking about Trump before I die.

It’s just taking them a mighty long time to come up with that plausible explanation - typically, it’s within minutes. We’re now beyond 12 hours.

Take heart. Maybe Bonesaw decides to eliminate his liability before it starts squealing.

The harm that careless handling of sensitive documents is the ticket. All the other stuff is Trump lying.

The affidavit won’t be released until trial. There’s too much sensitive information contained in it.
