Do you think he actually prayed? If he did pray it was a non-activity. BUT…by mentioning “pray” he drags God in as a partner and that’s supposed to make it all OK. Moses knew this shit was going to happen that’s why he chiseled “Thou shalt not take My name in vain” on that stone tablet.

Without assuming innocence or guilt, I’ll just note that since Trump has played the justice system like an out-of-tune fiddle, when I read about political corruption prosecutions in the US I am about ten times more cynical about justice being ultimately served.

A few things that are facts:
Anyone that says “God talked to me” is a liar. God, if He exits, is not concerned with GOP’er politics. In fact the Americas are not mentioned in the Old or New testaments.
“Thoughts and prayers”, “I prayed” and “Evangelical” are efforts to name drop God and attached oneself to His perceived greatness. There’s nothing to being a Christian or an Evangelical other than deciding to be one and declaring you are. It’s nothing.
Vegans don’t eat meat. Christians “do unto others as they’d have done unto themselves” and guide their behaviors by the tenet of “How ye treat the least among us is how you treat Me”. They “love thy neighbor” and don’t lie about them. They wash the feet of the down trodden …not put their feet in the down trodden’s asses. etc.
As soon as God comes into the discussion only bullshit follows.

Last night I posted a link to the The Hill story referred to. The “investigation” here implies that Zelensky’s visit to PA was an in-kind contribution to the Dems because of his criticism of Trump-Vance and because, supposedly, no GOPers were invited on that visit. But, just as Malor notes, what else was he supposed to say about people who want him to cede land to an invading nation?
