On the question of what happens when the host country refuses to accept deportation, as with Haiti, Venezuela, and others, I think it’s going to be a combination of two things:
First, limited success with diplomatically arranged deals with countries like Mexico where they agree to take a certain number of deportees in return for some benefit, like no tariffs.
And then some fake deportation theater for the media, where they show video of people boarding planes that never take off. When the media cameras leave, the detainees are deplaned and bussed back to the concentration camps. Rinse and repeat.

Exactly. We’ll see very quickly what a lightweight Rubio is, for example. He’s rising to his level of incompetence. Actually, way above it.
When Covid hit, we saw the incompetence and the denigration of expertise. We’ll have to hold and roll and hope another major crisis doesn’t come along. These people really can’t walk and chew gum at the same time.
The good thing is that nobody will take these people seriously by the time of the midterm elections.

Fox News and others will have to scramble with lots of fluff so that their viewers don’t see the real deportations, among other horrors. We’ll see the beautiful rooms they get to stay in at the prison plantations.

The thing that galls me the most and fills me with more despair than anything else is that there will never be accountability on their side. Never. They’ll have the presidency, the Senate, and the House, and when anything goes wrong they’ll find someone else to blame and will never take responsibility for the destruction that they caused. Never. And that is the part of this that feels agonizingly horrible. It is a “heads-I-win-tails-you-lose” situation with the most dire consequences imaginable.
