The Biden Age Stories Are Getting Old
Much as I agree with Josh Marshall’s take on the matter, maybe he can write something about the institutional reason that Klein, et al, are saying these things. Why are the chattering classes so fixated on Biden’s age? I don’t believe it’s because they think somebody else has a better chance of beating Trump. Age is a synecdoche for something else – they’ve always been negative on Biden – just think how the Eastern elite media have consistently talked down the best economic record since the 1960s. Again, why are the chattering classes so negative on Biden?

That is absolutely the gnarliest photo of Trump that I’ve ever seen. I know the skin texture is being exaggerated by the side-lighting and (maybe) some boosted contrast, but it’s still a good shot. The hint of bare scalp poking through the ferret on his head is a nice touch. Kudos to TPM for finding that photo.
