Trump is lazier than my cat… by a long shot… Plus his intelligence doesn’t come close.

Is anyone going to do anything about the disdain with which Trump treats the law? Stupid question… the answer is NOT bloody likely, especially not Roberts and his GOP toadies.

except to confirm that Abrego Garcia is alive

What type of proof of life did they provide? Trusting anything from the Trump administration to be true is foolhardy.

  • Jonathan V. Last: “The real question is: Does the chief justice understand this state of affairs? Or is he blind to reality?”

The third alternative is that Roberts simply doesn’t give a rat’s a$$, as long as the First Felon doesn’t shut down financing of SCOTUS.

What the actual living fuckety fuck does grabbing (albeit foreign) students off the street and sending them to the new gulag have to do with foreign policy?

Oh, and wait until these fuckwits see what happens to actual tuition costs when international students (who generally pay the full boat) stop attending US universities.

A few questions about men being sent to El Salvador. Will they be charged with crimes? Will they receive trials for those crimes? Frankly, both answers should be no because in most cases they are not citizens of El Salvador and were not sent there for crimes committed in that country (or perhaps any country). So, here’s the real question: what is their fate? Will they languish in the prison indefinitely? If so, will the US pay for their upkeep? Will they be sent back to Nicaragua? Performative cruelty is easy, but then what?

Will any MSM watch or care? Or will they leave it to Faux News to mock. Will his concerns and discussion help>

Biden is expected to fight back in an early evening speech to the national conference of Advocates, Counselors and Representatives for the Disabled in Chicago. While Biden has made a handful of public appearances in recent weeks, Tuesday’s high-profile address focuses on a critical issue for tens of millions of Americans that could define next year’s midterm elections.

I fear this morning’s headline will be evergreen and needed often. This is just sickening to watch/read/hear.

Sure they’ll cover it. If he stutters just once in the speech, is low energy or is in any way remotely incapacitated, that’s what they’ll focus on. No one cares what he thinks in the media and they’ll make damned sure no one else cares either.

The First Felon will jeer anything Biden has to say.

ETA: ‘Sleepy Joe’ will be the watchword.

They distrust systems of scholarship and institutions that they don’t or won’t understand and that incudes business models.

I’m not that pessimistic, because once a precedent has been established by a SCOTUS ruling it tends to be set in stone, and Trump won’t be in office forever. The next administration might be run by Democrats. Does the court want to give a Democratic President the same extraordinary and unconstitutional power?

That goes for everything Trump is doing with executive branch overreach, not just this one case. So I’m in wait and see mode. The SCOTUS hasn’t even begun to rule definitively on this yet, they’re letting the first moves play out in the lower courts.
