Trump II Architect Russ Vought Embraces A Christian Nationalist Vision For America

One of the key architects of Donald Trump’s plans for a second administration has been quite public about the driving force animating that radical agenda: a “cold civil war” to be won by those willing to use “biblical principles” to “instruct government” to do what the MAGA right wants.

Wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross.

Christian Nationalism philosophy is Sinclair Lewis’s warning brought to life. He even inspired their name.

How many of those trying to cross the border are Christians?
If many are Christians are they the proper Christians?
Do they have the money to fill coffers of the the Pastors who are already wealthy.
When they take over which religion rules?
Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist or these new made up religions that were started to make money?

They’re preaching the prosperity gospel, and that’s not only found in new forms of faux christianity.

OT, but Josh’s edblog about textualism has an excellent response that every dem should give when asked about DT’s bullshit:

If a mob boss says someone is going to go sleep with the fishes I’m not going to get into an argument about whether that person has a big aquarium in his bedroom.

What’s this nonsense about an 1892 SCotUS decision proclaiming the US a “Christian nation”?

The more adamant these weirdos get, the better. Shout the good news from the roof tops!
Make every GOP politician own this shit.

The wonder of this guy is for all his pious preaching and scheming, he obviously doesn’t believe a word of it. He nonchalantly sends all Muslims to a Hell that would put him in the lowest level.

These folks who think a bunch of “deviant” people should be rounded up and locked away are really pushing their luck.

“biblical principles”

OLD Testament only.

to “instruct government”

Force government

to do what the MAGA right wants.

And from the way the mainstream media covers this, I have to assume they want it too.

Evidently these “Christians” seem unaware that the entire story of the Nativity is all about welcoming the stranger. The holy family was, after all, of refugee status when they entered into Egypt; as strangers they were given refuge in escaping the persecution and death (of the holy infant) in Herod’s kingdom. Of course, the whole thing is rubbish and never happened quite like that. But the story itself, which is historical fiction and allegory, is all about how to treat the stranger and those seeking asylum and refuge in a strange land.

But to know that you would actually need to, well, read the text . . . and think about it. For all that, I swear these people embrace so many things that are so anti Christianity that I’m coming to think Trump really is the Antichrist!

Vought wrote that “Muslims do not simply have a deficient theology. They do not know God because they have rejected Jesus Christ

Back when Obama was president, I was once told that he was the precursor to the antichrist.

After Trump became president, it made me wonder.
