President Donald Trump was candid Thursday in his concern that if his campaign is unsuccessful in its multi-lawsuit attempt to block states’ expansion of voting by mail, his reelection will be “at risk.”
“They had things, levels of voting that if you’d ever agreed to it, you’d never have a Republican elected in this country again.”
Why, yes.

Sucks to be the powerful minority who can only retain power by suppressing Democracy. Just wait until we gain control of the Legislature and make election day a national (paid) holiday with strict enforcement of only “essential” services being allowed to operate.
Not a fan of this headline, because it misleads, and buries the lede. Trump never says his re-election is at risk; he says that expanded vote by mail “puts the election at risk.” He’s not admitting to his unpopularity, he’s continuing to lay the groundwork to claim the election is fraudulent.

I would offer up one minor alteration…the more people vote, the better it is for Democracy. We learned this a lifetime ago in grammar school…that this notion is being usurped by the goons currently holding our government hostage ought to be fair warning to anyone who enjoyed the previous iteration of America…
There is such a gigantic clean up to be done after this bunch of thieves are flushed out of government, smaller matters like a national holiday for voting are going to be way down the list of priorities.
Given 8 years of getting democracy back on track, maybe things like a holiday for voting might be something that we the people could petition for.
Something tells me that the Democrats are going to have several terms in office to get stuff done.
